So, ‘into’, then I’m guessing two parts ‘across’, and a final part ‘out of’?

 

Also, bring back negs if you like, but the bulk of that animation, bar the intro bit (which is much as it was before), did nothing for me. Just found it a bit garish.

 

Sure it’ll still be ace.

Goddamn it, these themed titles for Spider-Man films are getting so confusing. It's almost as bad as One/S/X, Series/S/X! :blah:

 

Also, before the first one was released, it was reported that Lauren Montgomery was directing a spin-off focusing on the female spider-heroes. If that's still going ahead, I wonder if that has become Part Two of this, or if it will still be a separate thing?

I think it feels like it's leaning even harder into the style from the clips here, particularly in the chat at the start - it's almost looney toonsian.

The card at the beginning said "in another another universe" which I presume it may be from Gwen's point of view this time? Dunno how they'll deal with the seeming time jump, I think a smash cut from pre-puberty Miles to lanky Miles would be funny, but I'm very excited regardless. Also can we appreciate (will spoiler in case anyone wants to take the next year avoiding the trailer/Spider-man lore)

The proper title of Part 2 has been revealed as Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse. And they showed a rough cut of the first 15 minutes of Across the Spider-Verse, with footage ranging from finished looking to just sketches, at Cinema-Con.

 

Oscar Isaac is Miguel O’Hara. Issa Rae is Jessica Drew.
