You could say the same about Game Pass, a lot of the games I’ve played there are older titles, in fact they share many of the same games. They’re both good, but when you add in the Sony exclusives it edges it in my opinion, and certainly in terms of volume. But in every other respect Game Pass is better.

25% off across the board from Sony, if you pick up cheaper credit from the likes of cdkeys and shopto you can pick up Premium 12 months for just under £66, Extra about a tenner less than that I think.

Because it’s about £33 cheaper, and I’d say the extra tenner - a year - is worth it for the classics catalogue and streaming, it’s not even £1 a month so hardly worth thinking too hard about IMO. If you just want Extra though then go for that and save the tenner :)

It works out at £2.50 more a month than basic PS Plus, but there are several hundred games you can download or stream, including some PS5 ones. Pretty good deal really.

Wow this is shady as fuck. I upgraded to extra when Stray came out as it was a few quid which seemed like a nice deal. Now I would like to renew with just essential with the 25% discount and quelle surprise it won't let me, oh I can upgrade and get the 25% or I can be stuck with Extra for another year for £63. Absolute scumbags, I'm going to think on it before deciding now.

Looks like I can upgrade to Premium for 50 quid for the remaining 500 days of my plus subscription. It's obviously not getting a lot of love in here, but that is pretty tempting. Even though I have a Gamepass subscription that I almost never use :facepalm:. 

 

Still there's two Ys games and Returnal on there that I haven't played, that's worth 50 quid right?

I'm considering the streaming level, what ps5 games are streamable? I don't have a ps5. I can't find any definitive list online.

I've had PS Plus for a couple of years, since buying a PS4 Pro. It's due to renew at Xmas, and I may as well upgrade to 'Extra' as it's a cheaper way of playing The Last Guardian than actually buying it. What's the best way to upgrade and take advantage of the Black Friday offer?

 

Did I read it right further up that you can't level up to a different tier straight away, that you can only puchase the same tier you're already on?

Log in to someone’s PS5 (as a guest is fine) and you can claim The Last Guardian and a bunch of other games as PS Plus games and keep them forever on your normal sub. I’m happy to do it for you remotely if you want to change your password/change it back.

 

It’s worth doing even if you do end up getting Extra, as they’ll stay on your account even if you drop back down.

You can level up you just can’t level down so in your case going from basic to extra is fine. Pick yourself up some cheap credit from shopto or cdkeys etc. and then take advantage of the 75% offer for Black Friday.
