Ha ha fair play Meatball! I reckon if I could link up my clean laps I could probably get a bit closer, but that isn't going to happen

Like others have said, the street furniture littered around this track is an absolute nightmare to navigate especially that last corner over the brow of the hill. I'm always tempted to give it too much beans and end up sliding into the two telegraph poles.

Good track this one though, enjoyed having something a little more technical.

Well this track is taking me out of my comfort zone, I tend to favour slower cars that can carry speed though the corners, whereas this track seems to suit cars that are fast on straights. I managed to get a better time out of a  D class golf that corners like a rotting beached whale then the Renault 4L I used on the last track.

Interesting. I went straight into S1 and put in a couple of laps which felt like fun but I can see how the lower classes will reward fast cars that steer like boats.

Would you mind sharinh that C class tune on the Renault Anjin, it was untouchable on that last track and I wouldn't mind using it on a Friday Night Forza online session!

Yeah it was the lower classes I was talking about, although I've not had too many laps so I'm sure there's a happy medium somewhere.

The share code for the Renault is 151 106 251

I’ve put a couple of times on the board. It’s a fast track and I’ve enjoyed playing a racing game again as I’ve not played any in years (I mostly play Halo).

Question regarding tuning. I’m just using what ever tune appears when searching for a tune and then buying the upgrade. Are you guys actually tuning the car yourselves and if so how? Is there a guide or a general rule to go by, I wouldn’t know where to start!?

That's exactly what I do, I don't have time to tweak, test drive and then refine so I just download from popular tuners like Nalak, Raceboy77 and Don Joewon Song.

If you have the time, this video is pretty informative

Ok that’s good. It’s not just me then. Thanks for the link 🙂

Ok got some times in for S2-D last night. After starting in the higher classes those C & D's were tough going.

Noticed that I'm not troubling any global top 100's so either it's a competitive track or my laps aren't that great/using the wrong car/tune.

I'll list my times and tunes tonight/tomorrow.

Next time someone new wants to join in can we check their credentials first before allowing it.

@TommyG is another very rapid rival, I don't like it!

It’s like we’re playing Tennis not a racing game 😂

I shit you not, I got exactly the same time as you in S2 class 00:47:247! but it put me in the place below you even though the time was exactly the same so I then squeezed another hundredth of a second out of somewhere. I’ve only been able to play so much because I’ve been off work with covid. Sadly I won’t be able to compete much after this but it’s been fun thanks @Meatball 😊

Post deadline I had another quick go and managed to split Tommy and Meatball in S2. I'm pretty much flat out all round and struggling to see how others can be even upto a second faster. Its still pretty impressive that 3 of us are within a thousandth of a second of each other!

Squeezed a bit more out of my Civic B class but couldn't get close to Suplex's C class time in that Escort.

I predict much swearing this week

I second this, put some times on the board for D, C and B. It's very bumpy this track! Felt barely in control in B class can imagine the higher classes are going to be fun.

Have had a go in A and S1 both very fun and fast, satisfying when you get a nice flow going, though I imagine when the times start dropping things will get pretty tense.

I've had a run in S2 also...

Times now in from me and I don't think I have the energy to improve as it was quite stressful at times  (that last corner 😬!)

I reckon A-Class is the sweetspot for this track (B was good fun too actually) and the Boneshaker Dirt Tune seems to be a class in it's own here, it is great fun to drive too (Tune by Rocklxd if people want to sample it).

S1 was seat of the pants stuff in the Lola. I'm sure there's loads more time in there but I don't think I have the refinement to find it!

S2 was horrible and was pretty much all about feathering that accelerator the whole way. It took me about ten goes just to get a clean lap in.

Interested to see how high you guys get on with it.

(That A class Pulsar is a Rocket by the way Meatball!)

Yeah that last corner. . .

I was close to your D class time last night, (congrats on cracking the top 20 btw) and overshot the last corner and hit the wall, I was pissed.

It's a fun track but if we do point to point races again could we maybe do a shorter one, it's maddening to race for 3+minutes then lose it all on the last corner. 🤬

Thanks Anjin, yeah there's a couple of corners late on that can catch you out, but it's a brave person who commits a handbrakes through that last one!

Just found this on a YouTubers account which has a list of great cars and tunes (A class and above) which should prove useful :

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/u/0/d/1F3xqy6yodUmnuua08YU-fet4KDDoIbaoNZRiZ9U8yxk/htmlview

Just noticed Meatball has got my S1 time down to within a tenth 👀

I dread seeing any form of notification number on my Forza online tab 😂

Yeah, I've now switched to the Puma what I used in one of the other off-road ones the other week. It's a bit of an animal 🐈‍⬛

I thought I done alright with my previous Fiesta S1 time. In the top few hundred of the world. Pretty decent going yeah.

Oooh a rivals notification, my time's been beaten by Eric...fair enough it wasn't a perfect run, let's have a look...

6.5 seconds! Damn, what did you have on your Weetabix :blink2:

:D

It wasn't a perfect run, the line through the tarmac fast right hander leading into the hairpin left what takes you off-road about 10-15 seconds in was a bit squint. I was cutting the grass keeping tight to the right side and I hit through the fencing losing a bit of speed, but after that I'm pretty happy with it. Was a little cautious at the last corner too and could probably have gone quicker through there, but didn't want to risk binning it after the rest of the run being good.

Still room for improvement if I could string together all my best bits into one run, but I think I'm probably done with S1 now after that one. If you can beat it then :hat:

Forgot to post it the other day, this was that best run of mine in S1…

I’ll still dabble with doing the odd bit in the rivals leaderboards as I’m playing the game, but I think I’m done with these weekly ones for now. Perhaps when the DLC comes out I’ll be up for some more organised ones.
Much as I enjoy it and love the fierce competition it’s been with you guys, I could do with making attempts for playing more other stuff off my pile of shame.

I'm not sure I want to watch that 😂

Seriously though, cheers Meatball for providing some target times to aim for, I've really enjoyed (unsuccessfully in most cases) chasing them down!

If you have the time I'd really appreciate a Tune amnesty to find out your S1 Puma tune and your A class Nissan Pulsar tune too as they are clearly very decent. They come in handy when I race with friends on a Friday night!
