Good win against a good side. Get Varane in and push those full-backs up and this will be fun. A shame Ole didn't have the nous to take that final step to alter the shape - he was halfway there with inverting the forwards.

Ronnie MotM. Thought Telles did a lot of ugly running too.

With any luck this recovery continues into the weekend. UtfR.

Great result, and a good performance.

Maguire played very well, much more like his old self when he's at his best.  Two crucial interventions in injury time. Where has that been so far this season, though?

Fred created two goals again, three if you count the Arsenal one.  I'm pleased the bizarre first goal was made to be an irrelevance, but someone needs to have a word with De Gea.

It might be worth remembering for future pub quizzes that the United manager with the best win percentage of the post-Fergie era is Michael Carrick with 67%.  :D

Carrick is quitting the club altogether.  That's quite sad on the back of this little run.  I guess he feels that he partly carries the can for how things went under Ole.

He surely carries quite a bit of the can, no?

Yes, he possibly does, particularly if you believe the reports that Ole delegated the running of the team to his coaches.  I've no idea how much Carrick was responsible for the collapse this season, or the improvement over the two years before that, for that matter. He said he considered leaving when Ole was sacked, but felt an obligation to take the club through to Rangnick's arrival.

I think he came across very well in that interview. He was a brilliant player for us, and has been at the club for a long time, so it's sad to see him go.

heyyyy you're in the cool kids club now. Welcome

The ‘ignore list’ club? 🤣 At least I’m guessing that’s what “toodle-pip” and subsequent ignoring of my posts means. I suspect mr GGG (aka Bowser) now comes into this thread and sees an average of 2 posters! Shame.

Whilst Ole was delegating sessions, he also vetoed the changes Carrick and McKenna wanted to make over the last couple of months. I haven't heard anyone say how much of the last week's tweaking was what they wanted to do all along or was Rangnick's hand from afar, but I'd be inclined to give them the benefit of the doubt regardless. It was a tricky set of games to get through and they did it well.

I liked last night. The side was set up in such a way as to accommodate everyone in it and still be on the front foot all over the pitch. Rangnick is on the record as not rating Shaw, but that was a few years back and he's really found his feet since then. Wan-Bissaka is much more capable going forward than he shows and I think he could have a future under Rangnick, but he's going to have to make his first instinct a forward one.

I thought it was you, too. Probably the boycott since '05 stuff...

Still on that one, haven’t been or directly gave them a penny. It’s more a resigned apathy these days, the boycott stance was an entirely fruitless, futile endeavour given protests are stopped by buying a player and all is rosy again. I think the only way they’ll leave is when they’re bought out by probably even worse people. Still, not buying a shirt or out else.

Don’t really post much anywhere but still read here. Partly due to a bit of a massive change in jobs (work as an early years practitioner in a pre school room at nursery) means I physically can’t post during the day due to safeguarding , partly because I enjoy playing games and reading about them but am not really arsed writing.
