The Man Utd Thread

City aren't gaining any fluency are they, Bernardo spinning around in his own half looking for passing options is a weird sight. A grind to get out to De Bruyne wide where he limps out a pass to no one, then the crowd roars as United quickly play up the pitch. Just seems like our play in the final third is rushed.

The passing out from the back has been so calm, clean, accurate, then it goes to shit in their half. We're losing shape and they're getting joy in that eventually they'll score kind of way. I thought United would press more than this, if the half goes without any good chances created then we might as well ask if the intent was to just not lose heavily.

Goddam heavy touch Rashford arrghhh

I think he decided to go himself too late. As he received the ball he was thinking about passing it, but the passing opportunity never appeared.

We've got to take one of these chances though.

Oh fuck Rashford down.

We've been the better team, but I think we need to make changes. There's not much point trying to play with two injured players up front.  I can see why Martial was picked half-fit, as his job was to release Rashford. However if Rashford can't run either, there's no point having either of them on.

They're being given too much space. All the out balls are to no one. If a team is being sloppy why let them build up a rhythm. It just becomes inevitable. Disappointed in this performance, if lesser teams like Southampton don't turn up to just not lose heavily it just cements the difference in class if you don't play.

Such a weird decision to insist on keeping a visibly injured Rashford on when Garnacho is on the bench. I mean he literally can’t sprint, so it’s not like he’s helping defensively.
