The defense and midfield are doing a great job, but our attackers are all fucking shit. Sancho and Rashford are bang average.

 

What's more worrying is that ETH seemingly has no faith in the younger players like Garnacho.

I'm a bit worried about the next few games if Verane is out. A partnership of Martinez and Lindelof would worry me. It would encourage teams to but high balls in the box, and we'd be vulnerable defending corners and free-kicks.

 

That's why McTominay was brought on, by the way - to help us defend corners! That didn't fucking work.  :lol:

Martinez's post on twitter is pretty funny too. It seems he dived into the crowd and ended up screaming into the face of a random fan.

 

 

 

 

The further the season goes on, the more shrewd Ten Hag's work in the transfer market seems. It's not just about the quality of player when you're building a team - it's about the personalities. Martinez and Casemiro in particular are winners and tough bastards, but there's definitely some of that in Antony and Eriksen as well.

I can’t get to tomorrow’s game so have two tickets if anyone (you have to have a United membership these days to receive tickets) wants them. The face value is £33 each but I’d be happy to let them go for £20 each if anyone fancies a night under the floodlights.

Decent win. Nice to see Ronaldo score. I wonder if our failure to finish chances in the whole group stage win come back to haunt us. If we beat Real Sociedad by two clear goals we'll top the group, but if we only beat them 1-0 it will be decided on goal difference, and Sociedad will go through.
