I would have thought it would be right up your street?

Car is a wanker. Needs handlebars as I expect it really could spin up it's wheels in third gear, while on full opposite lock. Just like a quad. Twatting thing.

Of course I'll be back at it. Wheel time was two seconds faster than the pad which is unheard of.

It’s a go slower to go faster situation.

Is there any possibility that they might release grand valley at some point? Very disappointed that it isn't in the game, love that track.

There’s talk that it and Apricot Hill have been seen in a preview build or something so there is a chance, yes.

Tried a short race in Ferrari 308s around a short Lago layout last night. Was the layout called West End? Was pretty fun I thought, would be up for more banger racing around short circuits.

You need wreckfest in your life, especially if you can make it to Wednesday nights...

Actually the cars are pretty good aren’t they? That Skyline looks pretty cool. A new Gr3 is good, the Merak is fine. The best is the MX5 as it’s a track car - it’s got a roll cage so a more modern Roadster Touring car ? Should be a good one for MNRC

4 new cars, any news on server stability, or is it time to map the horn button to my pad wheel?

 That kind of thing is always in the patch notes after the update.

Spoiler

Servers will still be a mess

I'm out. I'll stick to dakar and my pissed up pace note co driver.

I mean playing gt7 online is like going out with that mate who drinks themselves to oblivion, you kind of go along with it a bit until they become an irritating arsehole. Then they apologise, and say they're never going to drink again. So you go out with them again, and they get completely shitfaced.

I know dakar is pissed, is going to get drunk, and is best put on ignore. I like my drunks consistent. Gt7 is a maddening shambles.

The physics changes seem to have made a big difference.

I thought I was reasonably safe for silver on the time trial with a 15.7, .1 under the target, silver time dropped to 1:15.136 this morning which on previous attempts I had no hope of getting. After a few laps and I'm down to 14.9, the car handles much more like a car now rather than a boat, I can actually get it into the corners. It also feels more stable through turns 2 and 3, back end doesn't always try and kick out as it did in the transition between the two.

Gold is 1:13.705 for those going for it.

Other Improvements and Adjustments

1. Physics Simulation Model
 - Adjusted the simulation for tyre heat generation and wear ratio;
 - Adjusted the suspension geometry for each car;
 - Adjusted the initial values for suspension parts;
 - Adjusted the initial values for the Differential Gear (with 'Fully Customisable LSD' equipped) on certain cars;
 - Adjusted the Performance Points (PP) of some cars;
 - Changed the conditions for mechanical damage occurring from a collision or contact if 'Mechanical Damage' is set to ‘Light’ or Heavy’ in the Race Settings. As a result, cars are now less likely to sustain damage after hitting a track wall or other obstacles.

I just did a couple of laps of the TT after the patch, bloody hell its like a different car! I only did 2 laps on lunch break after fiddling with the clamp on my wheel and took half a second off my ‘best’ time and I dont think it was particularly good even if my prev time was equally not my optimum!

I recon an 11 is possible. I’m really on the leader all the way round but it’s that bloody last turn still. Chicane is waaay easier.

Have you uploaded your ghost?

I’m well into the 13s now and gold is a decent last corner away but im sure im losing all my time in the chicane so would be good to see an aliens ghost to follow!

Not yet but I’ll put it up next time I’m on.

I’m not trying to be the hot take guy, but I preferred the pre-update physics.

Interesting.

Care to expand? I guess the car in the TT is less unique feeling, less interesting maybe? not driven anything else really so not sure how it's changed overall.

I've not driven anything else other then the Corvette post patch as I am in full DIY mode in my flat but if the physics update has tightened up all N class then I am going to be happy. Right now I hate the Roadster Touring Car for example. I'm hoping the physics have made cars like that more fun.

Pre patch the physics exaggerated handling characteristics FF stuff was ridiculous and the TT car could spin on a dime in 5th coming out of a corner on half throttle so it seems they have dialed some of that back.

I drove a gt3 and that felt spot on, stacks of grip until you overstepped the mark and the you were having a fast accident - it didn’t feel anting like the American boats so I’m pretty sure the variety is there still.
