Shaved off a little more. 0.072 off a 1.41 and back up to 189th. 3 more days. Maybe…

Waiting now for Jon to come along and casually pop in the 41.

Have you tried a Redbull livery? 5% above BOP apparently ;)

I'd like to try the 3D rap ones but the cost + postage is frankly ridiculous for what it is so I haven't done it.

Me too, I missed one on ebay for a decent price - I think elastomers will be better than springs for feel so probably should just give one a go…

41 club my dudes. I could see Jon’s having a go so I really had to try. Big bad wolf closing in. I improved bit to a 142.003 and couldn’t then just couldn’t better it. As Joe would put it, f u game!!

But then finally I hooked it up, changed how I came out of spoon and it was just enough. K’ing come on!!!

epic mate. well done.

In other news, Gallo has gone faster and is almost in the 39s. wtf.

I just retightened my DD AGAIN and managed to go 3 tenths faster after 3 laps so hopefully I'm safe for gold.

EDIT: bloody hell yeah a gold is now a 1:43.018.

I can't get any quicker, did another hour last night and best I could get was a 1:43.5, though my opt was into the high 42s, I couldn't string it together :(

Watching the new top replay (well, last night, it may be different now) they use the whole gearbox to slow the car more than the brakes, and my brain can't cope with it, though, 1 thing that's worth half a tenth that I can do is between the hairpin and spoon, not double shift from 4 to 6, simply shift into 5th and let it bounce of the limiter.  It's faster as the benefit of double shifting comes further along the straight, by which point you're braking for spoon..

I just had an hour on it, stuck in a solid silver time and best potential time is in the 42’s so another hour and I think gold could have been had…. Im just too tired due to new job and having to actually learn how to do things again:o plus changing my rig setup and brake pedal wasnt the smartest move mid TT….

3 excuses, std racing driver interview given ;)

On the odd occasion I was flying on this one tho, the difference it makes getting the line right and early on the power is insane in this car - I was a second up on my run that is best time and it felt mega but I choked on the final chicane and almost put it in the pit wall… what could have been!!

I dunno, after the weird combination of precision and throttle mashing needed for the McLaren, I’m looking forward to something a bit more predictable, even if predictable means spinning everywhere!

We could have GR3 @ Monza tho ;)

Do you like boats? Because it is a boat. A very fast boat. Snuck the gold but I doubt that will last.

Car is heavy, ridiculously fast with the suspension and brakes of a Cavalier. It’s a challenge and about as sharp as a unset jelly. Once you get used to the weight there is some fun to be had manipulating it.

New TT is quite enjoyable but I'm absolutely nowhere on the last corner. I'm braking at least a month early. I would have kept trying but my wheel disconnected again and I got annoyed.

I reckon a gold will be a 14.0ish.

Im braking a month late…. Between us we could be godlike ;)

I actually quite enjoyed my first bash on the TT, I haven’t set a decent time yet but after 20 mins sesh just now I like it :o Main issue is getting power down as my right foot is very impatient and thats not good for this car or track, also why did they insist on putting Teflon on the tyres :hmm:
