Since (I believe) that haptic feedback broke one of my triggers on the controller, I turn it off now. Took Sony 5 weeks to replace it under warranty

One of mine is certainly looser/lighter than the other (might have always been like that) but the only game I’ve felt might break it was Dirt 5 where I turned the feedback down to 50% in the game and I’ve played a lot of Dirt 5, WRC9 and Wreckfest. I think it’s just as impressive when done subtly, bit of feedback when losing grip under braking, out of corners etc. so hopefully GT7 will be more along those lines with a bit more resistance to convey damage.

Inevitably it’ll run better on Ps5, off loading times alone are of interest, the PS5 runs GT Sport runs the PS4 Pro version with significantly shorter loading times. You can tell in online practice lobbies as the PS5 players are on track way before the 4 users due to the SSD.

I don’t think we’ve even seen it running on a 4 yet and of course the pro will add even more complications to the version comparison.

However, from what you’ve said and considering It’s supposed to be the same game you could go digital with the PS4 version for 60 quid then pay the extra tenner at a later date to upgrade if you switch to a 5. By that time plenty of us will have opinions.

Yeah I don't have a PS5 or a 4K TV. I'm happy with 1080.   I only have a standard PS4. I do want shorter load times of course, and if they are acceptable with an SSD retrofitted , then that be fine for me. I think stock will be too annoying.  I could get a cheap Pro and put an SSD in there.  Although I do like the sound (feel) of the haptic feedback. I guess I'm going to have to wait for the deep dive reviews.   :)

The DualSense makes every racing game feel better (if you’re not using a wheel setup) so I just hope they’ve nailed that along with the 3D Sound.

They nailed it compared to the old Duel Shock (which i wasn't that impressed with compared to...well...any Xbox pad).

Its fantastic now on Sport.

ABS on or off - you can be so subtle on both gas/brake.

Also, I know its "dumbed" down but there are times the steering can be so subtle too. The Duel sense is a huge improvement for racing games.

I'm hoping they have managed to fix the terrible patching system for this game when it releases on the PS5.

Sport just won't currently run on PS5 and patch update itself if you you seemingly have any other games installed, the patch system for it is just a massive space hog.

PS5 storage is premium and needs to be treated with some respect - upgrade options are still expensive.

It’ll be fine, this is a remnant if the crazy way Sony did PS4 games rather than something specific to GTS, it just so happens that GTS is one of the (Presumably) few PS4 games still receiving regular updates.

For some reason I thought it was 24th March - not a week after Elden Ring. Gonna be a busy gaming period

Strangely other racers have chosen the week before to launch - Assetto Corsa upgrade and Grid Legends - going to be tough competition for those titles, but it will give something to the Xbox owners I suppose

Also it reminds me that we live in a good time generally with global release days for gaming. Remember the 6 month wait for Japanese titles to make it out?

Releasing it two weeks after horizon and the week after Elden ring is nuts. So, yes.

If there’s a delay I can’t see that being the reason, the dates have been known for a long time, it would make little sense to have sat on it.
