Well I'm embarrassed to say I've just completed all of the menu cards 🤣

I was expecting a bit more variation with the cards, like drag races, etc, but I guess they're in Missions?

If anyone's curious I finished with 70 cars and 3.5m credits. (won 1m credits in the last roulette).

Bought 3 cars so far (95k) and spent 1.1m on tuning.

Awesome work! Looks like I'm 3/4 of the way through. Currently on the Porsche one. Think I better slow it down a bit :) Although I expect I'll have to go through a few more licenses before I'm done on the campaign. So probably another ten or so hours to go! :)

Really enjoying myself with this spent half of my 20 hours so far actually driving so looks like I've being doing lots of other stuff. So easy to loose time to this!

The Porsche 'Ring challenge next up...

That's the other weird thing, only the first two licenses are needed for the whole Cafe.

Good couple of races there, I can’t do much as I’ll never get up for work, but it was nice.

The standing start of the first one threw me off completely, but it didn’t look like I was the only one. And that radical is really nice too, first time I used that.

Big apologies to anybody/everybody I might have messed up too 😅

Had my first crash tonight.. the spinning GT logo of death... just after I'd completed the last event to get my card too! :) Bah. It was the Porsche event too around the 'Ring in the wet.. dammit that was a hard fought battle so I was a bit gutted. I think it was probably more a network issue TBH and my network connection got a bit ropey during the event probably. Anyway redid the events (had to redo two events on the card) and now have a bunch of Porsches! :)

On another note left the game panning around the '81 911 in the garage and noticed the clock on the dash was working (second hand moving). Not only that it was set to the correct time! :) Got to admire the insane amount of detail in this...

I’ve had the network thing a few times. Annoyingly it’s done it after multiplier races - did two different events last night, got it, restarted and the evenings progress lost (two races and some settings tweaks).

Rest mode seems to crash the game.....after  letting you play until you quit out to the World Map. Loses all the progress from that session too.

Done it twice on the trot to me. I now close the game after playing.

In other great news, my pedal fix didn't last long so I've ordered a replacement set from Thrustmaster for £55. Didn't want to fork out for a whole new wheel set.

I've stupidly bought the same car twice. The 162k Legend Cars Jag, and you can't sell duplicates?! But with the Legend Cars fluctuating in price I'm assuming selling will come soon? Anyone heard anything?

I’ve had a couple of moments where I’ve thought “I’m sure Porsche challenge looked this good”, or “this is a bit like PGR”,  but my favourite was realising that high speed ring is the same track in psone GT…

Online is a bit of a shit show at the moment, but with better daily races and hopefully some decent Race Cs and Championships “Sport” mode will pick up.

Lobby racing has lots of features missing and odd bugs and glitches but Monday Night Racing Club was epic once we got racing. With patches on their way it will be better soon I’m sure, and once we figure out some more outlandish tunes it’s going to be great. Already the Radical round Deep Forest is  a firm favourite for me.

Had a great laugh just messing about as well. The Mini reversing race was such silly fun.

I didnt resist very long and have just bought this digitally, PS4 version thats downloading - how do you then get the PS5 upgrade?

how much did you pay?

because the £60 PS4 version doesn’t include the ps5 upgrade, like the £70 version.

Far as I can tell, if you start the PS4 version on PS5 there’ll be the same button with “other versions”, I think it says, and an option to buy the upgrade for £10.

As was correctly pointed out last night, the trade off was Music Rally

All gold's on the first license! Boom!

That's genuinely an achievement for me, I usually get the bronzes, maybe a couple of silvers and go "eh, good enough"

Congrats, well done! That means you also won the Mitsubishi GTO as a bonus car :)

Care to join our online races next Monday night (or sooner) to put that car to extra good use in our lobbies?

Next Gen tax... got to love Sony sometimes...  :) Still the PS5 version is great. Still a bit of a sting at the £60 I ended up paying but the amount of time I've sunk into it so for and the entertainment its given worth it...

Can we just race radicals at Deep Forest, like, forever?

I'm off to ebay to wince at how much the real thing is.....

Think its the first time I've stuck with it too. Not sure about getting all the golds in the rest of the licenses though... getting to distracted with other bits of the game.. namely the cafe cards... up to the Supra one... These are great BTW and you amass a fair few decent cars as you progress through them. Great way of working through the various bits and pieces of the game too.

So whilst there is all the noise about microtransactions around the web at the moment you do get a fair chunk of game here for your money. Just wish they would allow you to buy cars / DLC with real money rather than virtual (expensive) currency. Cars that were around £5 in Sport for example are 3.5M credits = nearly £40?! What? Anyway they are optional and you can grind if you want to I guess. Just spoils things a bit knowing that those cars are already in the game locked behind a paywall.

I’m trying to ignore the credit/micro-transaction issue as I won’t drop any further real money on the game (other than decent DLC) but it is such a shame that the Legendary Car dealerships feels to me like something that is there to push micro-transactions rather than what I would of thought of as quite a neat little feature otherwise.

I hope they really get taken to town on it though and shamed into reducing PSN prices for the credits.

I’m not especially proud of this but I did spend a couple of pounds last night to buy enough in-game currency for the Radical that we wanted to drive in MNRC. I was away playing a show with my band at the weekend and simply hadn’t had the time to grind out enough credits (or more accurately, I had had enough, but had spent them on upgrades to try and complete some cafe missions for which my base-spec cars were inadequate).

So I’m part of the problem.

After a few little niggles for me at the start, maybe due to my own PS5 console or something?, this has started to really shine. I loved Sport but playing this has made me realise how much I really missed GT's traditional structure. Superb fun in-between Elden Ring sessions.

Poly seem to have polished it to a sheen, and it's only going to get even greater polish going forward.

Indeed. Had a nose around the Legendary dealership and first thing I thought when I saw the prices of the cars. Now it seems that around 8 hours play* will net you around 1.5M credits. So fair amount of game time needed to acquire say a 10M credit car.

If there is enough kickback from people they may adjust things or offer higher in game credit accumulation opportunities. Guess we'll have to wait and see. One time that I wish MS had got some competition out there about now in the way of a new Forza Motorsport game might have kept Sony/Polyphony in check a bit. This makes their car packs / season passes look generous TBH.

* Based on start of game winnings guess they do go up significantly as you raise through the ranks.

Hopefully you won’t have to do that again, FYI there’s a 2 lap race with Mini’s around Goodwood that becomes available quite quickly that nets about 52K if you win a clean race. There’s also a 75K race + 50% clean bonus at Brands I think it is but that is 5 laps so maybe not quite as good value and maybe harder and requires a higher rated car.

I did get the game with the intention of eventually joining in, depends where I'm at within myself and how cooperative the kids are, I used to be around back when MNRC started on GT Sport and fully intend on bring back my fluorescent pink and green cars, though I might tone them down just a little.
