I’ve just got to the first American races... I think I’m going to have to buy something so I can win some rubbish old American cars.

I'm thinking a corvette is the best of a bad bunch. 🤔

I had to turn on ASM just to get them over with. Stupid American cars.

Got the wheel stand pro out and took me a while to work out why I was miles behind the AI drivers.

My brake pedal is borked.

Doesn't go past half brake power and comes on by itself randomly.

Will take it apart over the weekend and see if it's something simple to fix.

Yeah, I keep mine folded, which rests on the brake pedal. I did wonder if that would damage the pedal over time. 😬

I still contend other "realistic" driving games capture the sense of speed and jeopardy better than this, though it is fine. Again, I'm not really shitting on it - it is what it is and it's OK.

Aye it is what it is. For me  it's spot on taking lots of elements that define the Gran Turismo experience and extending to add some different elements that give the formula subtle update.

I read that I can’t go online for like another 3 hours.

I really don’t like the layout of everything so far, it seems to treat me like an idiot who’s never played a game or seen a car before.

I should be able to load it up and go make skins for cars if I want.

If only they spent more time making the AI less robotic than the progression long winded.

You unlock online about two hours in, less if you rush.

Yes you have to work through some of the game and various modes open up as you work through. Not sure how long it takes to unlock everything enjoying too much to keep an eye on the clock.. :)

The credits system is stingy but as someone said not near Forza 5 level, which was blatant pay to avoid grind. Its still a shame to see it going down this road and the rewards I've been getting from the cards are pretty shit.

Still, Ive sunk about 8 hours into it so far. 😀

I'm really struggling with braking. I've put better brakes on the car, brake pads, yet everyone is still braking later and turning faster than me online. I'm getting golds on the licence tests, so I can play the game well enough. Is it all down to tuning?

There's some oversteer correction thing in the driver aids I had to disable to really get the cars feeling right, worth digging in the Assist Settings.

Trail braking seems to be more important compared to GT Sport, and (when you get it right) will mean you can brake later and still make the corner.

There are also lots of better brake parts in the tuning shop, about an upgrade per “tab” of the shop. If you’re in the dailies I’d expect most people to have unlocked the “extreme” tab and to have all the best parts.

Thanks, I'd also just found it and had come to say.

Shame you can't have the menu music in the race.

Announcement recently went out about the Legacy Cars area of the game not only partnering with Hagerty from a branding perspective, but a functional one too - in that cars from that in-game dealership will have pricing fluctuation in line with the real-world equivalent cars’ pricing fluctuation per Hagerty.

shit would get real interesting if they create limited numbers/scarcity of cars, making it kinda like… nfts haha.  Users sell cars to one another, Sony and Hagerty each take a cut, it’s the future! 🤑🤪
