Gran Turismo 7: PSVR2 upgrade confirmed.

In anticipation of playing this game sometime over the weekend, do you only have access to your single player car library while playing online, or is there a lot more to choose from there by default? I was always intrigued by how good people said Gran Turismo Sport was in terms of fairness online, and about the quality of the racing as a result, so I'm looking forward to trying this out.

So how many CR is the 917k?

I knod of gave up grinding for the really high end (20 million) classics in GT sport.

Good news - it's not 20,000,000Cr!

It's 18,000,000Cr

If the State of Play is anything to go by, some of the really old (1920s/30s cars) cost about 90,000,000Cr 😂

So here's another question - does the save transfer across from PS4 to PS5? (I didn't know there was going to be a PS4 version until a couple of days ago so I really haven't been following this that closely) I'm very probably going to get the PS4 version and then upgrade later on.

This is concerning, irritated me no end in GTS and this sound worse, I just hope it’s more generous in what you can spin from your tickets. So far, it’s not appearing so though, £2K and £5K 🤬.

Yes, that's the case :) - your save will be transferable when you upgrade.

The state of play was showing the Japanese version, everything is yen equivalent and 100 times more than you would need to pay.

I'm enjoying this. Like, a lot. But not in a "I'm being thrilled all the time non-stop" needy sort of a way that, say, Driveclub felt I had to be.

Yes, I was exploring the limits of grip in this souped up '65 Mini, but now I'm considering which gearbox upgrade to fit, and a nice old man and a young woman have stopped at the café to say how nice my car is. I'll take it for a wash.

Oh look, I can photograph a DB5 in a bamboo forest. Once that's done I might take this Integra for an intense drive around Suzuka. Then I'll have a cup of tea and adjust my gear ratios, and maybe make a nice logo for my helmet.

It's total Gran Turismo.

Digital here, and I still got sent into the music rally while the game set itself up.

Yes just the way the intro to the game is. Nice intro through... Music Rally is oddly addictive reminds of the old Sega arcade games trying to hit checkpoints before the music runs out. Like the way the screen dims ever so slightly to give you a nudge to get a move on! :)

One thing is impressed by when I had a go this morning was the haptics. I felt I could judge the grip on the road from the feel. I also liked the thud from the controller when changing gears.

Am I right in saying That the triggers get harder to pressed based on some kinda of non visual damage model?

I saw in SuperGTs review that the FIA GT competitors are in the game as AI opponents. Is there anything more to that than it just being a replacement to the usual random names? Did they code certain AI to match their driving style or anything like that?

Must be weird for Takuma Miyazono et al to be playing the game and racing against themselves.

Random I think. Igor Fraga who was a world tour winner hit the brakes on a flat out kink and I’ve got the AI on the top difficulty so I don’t think there’s anything more than his name on it

I’ve only just unlocked it but it seems so. In GT Sport the online daily race A always gave you a car, but this doesn’t . There’s only 2 daily races though so early days.

I’ve only just unlocked multiplayer lobbies and I imagine it will be like GT Sport where you can only use cars you own. that said our RLLMUK forum based Monday Night Racing Club will be working out what cars we all own or can afford easily to make it easily as possible for as many people as possible to race if you fancy joining us?

Edit - Fucking hell! Try playing the 2nd track with the chase cam view........looks like a little lad pedalling his Wilko’s Go-Kart around Tokyo!!! 😂

You can change the chase camera settings from an in-race option.

Just tried my first online race.

qualified on pole, but quickly got overtaken by almost everyone. I assumed we were all using one of those standard first 3 cafe cars, but I guess not at the speed of some them... and of course somebody side swiped me into a barrier at the first opportunity!

The loading times are insanely good.

What you've noticed loading times!!! :) SSD on this has transformed the series.

Just unlocked Sport and Multiplayer so I think that is most of the pavilions unlocked now.

Have to say really impressed with this. The mix of everything in here is about right. Despite being a bit skeptical they have managed to mix things up a bit while keeping the staples and adding some fun! Really enjoying Music Rally great way to wind down after some intense races.

Worth every penny. Awesome work Polyphony. This is the driving game I've been waiting for.

So really looking forward to see how / if PSVR2 gets integrated into this! Icing on the cake...

How the hell, after seven iterations, can they still not have a "next licence" option when you finish one of the licences?

That and the amount of presses of the X button through the screens is a bit daft. X3 for the results screen alone.

Wow I didn’t realise it would keep playing even when I had been forced to watch it for 8 minutes on first boot.

Mind blowing.

After the first watch, on subsequent load ups you can skip with circle, it don’t force you to watch it multiple times!

Quick question if I may all - If I pick up the PS4 version from Argos - does I get the PS5 version for free? - an extra tenner for the PS5 version!

Sony said this, and I believe all future first party Sony releases are a tenner to update from PS4 to PS5.

No Lotus cars?

Hopefully one day, no Volvo either, which is coincidental, despite them being part of the same company!

They get better I kept winning 2K & 5K prizes... and then just won 30K! :) You get multipliers on some tickets. But not won a car yet :(

I suppose at least cash is better than the same old cars over and over in GTS. Also I just won 52.5K (inc. 50% clean race bonus) for a 2 lap Mini race around Goodwood which isn’t too bad, so hopefully the winnings will be decent further into the game.

This is my first GT since 2 back in the day & I’ve been loving it so far. I’ve done the first few bits of the campaign & got my first licence however there’s a race setting, or modding, I don’t understand - In Europe there is a race for Gr.3 cars (of which I have the pre-order Supra), when I enter it EVERY car completely outpaces me no matter how well I drive, I’m losing by almost 30 seconds! Even with clean laps they all pull away from me completely. When I do the course on Arcade I can completely blitz the computer, so is there something I need to do to the car prior to starting? I’m guessing this is something simple that I have overlooked?
