Equally stupidly excited & frustrated that it’s not out until next year.  Seen a couple of reports that the visuals have been worked on and it looks better in the new trailer than the previous one, but I’ll be playing on the Switch so I know it won’t look quite as good as the XB/PS versions, but SW Galaxy in my hands, anywhere, for the win!

(Zip it Steam-Deck owners!)

Still this!! :omg:

- That looks great

- for a game that is ostensibly aimed at kids it looks surprisingly deep and complex.

- It’s running on a brand new engine that they’re ditching after this because it’s not liked very much, which gives me concern over how it will run on Switch. The cynic in me reckons quite badly with some severe downgrading. Previous Lego Star Wars games ran in unreal.

Bugger! ☹️

You can tell from the video that everyone involved in making this had so much fun and it was clearly a very relaxed place to work.

cant even tell if trolling...https://www.polygon.com/features/22891555/lego-star-wars-the-skywalker-saga-has-led-to-extensive-crunch-at-tt-games

the article also mentions the engine, a new engine, they had to use, when they wanted to switch to unreal...it sounds like it may not arrive in prefect state, which would be disappointing, as it looks aces!

but, it also looks like it could be rather hard for younger kids as it seems to have switched to having actual third pesron controls!?

Also no co-op gameplay?

Oh, really? On the one hand, playing the old SW games in coop was amazing, but the moving split-screen of modern Lego games makes me actively motion sick so I've not played them for a while. Got two consoles now, so that helps.

It's listed on the Xbox store as featuring offline 2 player, which I assume is co-op. I think @gospvgjust meant it wasn't shown in the video.

On the other hand some idiots just launched a Halo game without co-op, so maybe a Lego game without co-op isn't totally impossible, but seems highly unlikely. The internet seems to be petitioning for online co-op, which I suppose could go either way. Anyone know?
