Did anyone watch the first series of this? Its influences were clear as a Northern* Inbetweeners and Fleabag mash-up but I absolutely loved it. Really relatable in places, I think everyone knew a Rupert and Tinhead growing up. Series 2 now on iPlayer too:

*But filmed around the corner from me in my crappy Hertfordshire suburb so I like it even more.

I really enjoyed his Pls Like series but couldn't get on with this at all - the first ep of the first series where the lad has to fight a bully was really unpleasant and found it really difficult to watch.

Never watched the second ep

The fight episode was a bit rough, yeah. But it gets better.

I think my favourite one in the first series where they are trying to make music on Liam's bedroom PC - I think we've all thought we were budding producers at some point and it would be fucking embarrassing to see what you actually made. Also the ongoing bin-kicking joke cracks me up every time.

Just watched series 3 in a couple of days. Consistently excellent and while it's a shame to see it end, it'll be nice not to see it deteriorate.

Steve Pemberton's heartfelt speech and then the last minute swerve was inspired, and Liam's boss was also a highlight. Horatio!

I’ve tried this but not really getting on with it, and after getting two episodes into season two I don’t think I’ve laughed out loud since ‘word poor’ in episode one.

It probably says more about me than the show but it’s not relatable to me at all, and the modern-day character seems like a complete and utter bellend.

Also, Addy supposedly being the coolest of the group in episode one (admittedly purely down to how much he smokes) to being a complete and utter dweeb in every other episode is a bit jarring.
