Dead Space Remake: Isaac is back, in Pog form!

Slightly disappointed to hear they have voiced Isaac now. In the first one he was an enigma, you had to wonder what he was thinking or would say.

The second one cleared that up - he just shouted 'HOLY FUCKING SHIT' a lot. Which, to be far, I probably would too, but it's not exactly sparkling dialogue.

 

In DS1, there was something delightfully sinister almost about how this man would stoically face these eldritch horrors without a word. Added to the creepiness!

Sounds about right for the level of greebliness and fancy lighting.

Still something about the old look I prefer (probably the all-too familiar look of someone who has already had too many sleepness nights even pre-Ishi), morph turns them into John Everyman from such games as all of them.

And yes, I'm interested, but £40-50 to drop on an 8 hour single-player game feels a bit much, especially when it'll (eventually) be EA Play-bound. I'll wait to see how well-optimised the PC version is and if you can run it in full shiny mode without melting anything.

Just sign up to EA Play Pro for a month for £15 and play it on launch day

On PS store at least subbing to EA for a month also reduced the purchase price of the game by more than the month sub

I do hope this is good and that if it is successful we might get a chance to do the second one. 

 

And then do a complete new DS3 because the third one was pretty awful.

You know, I dislike the second more than it deserves. When I think of 1 I've fond memories of everything, when I think of 2 I almost literally can not remember anything but 1) the ludicrous amount of big combat zones 2) that place and 3) "there's more of em".

 

And I really dislike 1 and 3, it close to ruined the game for me. 1 because it felt like a lame attempt to become more action-y, 3 because it's a lame attempt to expand the story/lore/universe.
