Pizza Tower probably deserves its own thread, it's like a lost classic SNES game. Amazing music. Looks like ren and stimpy mind.

Yeah, I played a bit more of the Sage 2019 demo last night. I think it's great, but I'm absolute shit at it and the bit where you have to escape is absolutely panic inducing even though you get plenty of time even when cack handed

I'm hoping it's more the levels are slightly more advanced than what's in the actual game early on, bit like Neon White's Next Fest Demo (which gave you the first chapter, and then three or four single levels several chapters in where the crazy game stuff happens).

Haven't tried the demo but the game itself is quite quick to get you using all the mechanics, which I find quite refreshing in a world where some games have things like entire combat mechanics you don't really need to bother with. By about the second proper level you're picking up an outfit which completely changes how you traverse the level.

At the same time the difficulty curve feels good to me.

@LorfariusI haven't but have heard many rave about it. I tend more towards narrative games so not my cup of tea. Sounds like a game that can take over your life if you dig it though.

I might give it a miss for a bit. Still head deep in Euro Truck 2 and got that new Yakuza game out soon so not got the time. I almost bought that Hunter Call of the Wild last night for something new to try but realised it was free on Game Pass. I want stuff I can dip in and out of easily for a bit 🤣

Has anyone played Project Zombied. Looks a bit like Postal in style, not sure if its worth a punt.

It's sort of more like a very grim version of the Sims. It's an acquired taste, I liked it enough years ago but haven't played it in a long time, it's quite complex.

I do want to give Project Zomboid a go, but I'm excessively time starved at the moment. Same with Kenshi (an equally massive survival RPG but it's samurai sword-swinging in a post-apocalyptic environment).

I'm still just plodding along with Supraland from the last Humble Choice, just in time to get dumpstered by this month's Humble Choice :coffee:

Thought I might have got a confirmation email from valve to say they have my deck.

All I have is proof it was delivered to Havant a few days ago. Hopefully I'm not waiting much longer.

On the basis of this, I went to look at the trailer. The art style, and game design looks fantastic, but for the first time in my life, I was repulsed by the music. Actually repulsed. Weird.

I always listen to the in game music in games, and equally enjoy pretty much all of it. How weird. For those interested, here's the trailer. But I won't be clicking again....

Who's playing Strange Horticulture?

What's it like? It's about £6 on a key site, and I'm sure I saw someone on my friends list playing it.

I loved it when I played though last year (on Deck). I found it a wonderfully relaxing little game. Lovely map. Lovely little stories and overall story.

Nothing better than the effect when there's a storm outside the shop with rain hammering the panes and lightening flashes lighting up the background.

Perhaps me? I’ve been playing it solidly for the last couple of weeks.

It’s really good! A nice, relaxing game, perfect for the deck (though the stick controls work better than the touchpad ones for some reason).

Been sent Undisputed. Hoping it plays well on Deck. Really fancy a boxing game again and Fight Night on PSP wasn't quite scratching that itch.

It doesn't run well at all. It's unplayable.

Cheers, I might give it a go then.

Thanks as well @thesnwmn

Ah that's a shame

I'm gutted as I'm desperate to play it. I only watched YouTube videos showing the performance.

The new trackmania runs well on deck. Need to use proton experimental due to the ubi launcher.

I really wish it wasn't an Ubi game :(

Strange horticulture deserves all the praise for having a way to counter small text, with a built in magnifier, that has three different ways to use it, so you can make it work for you.

Valve need to make thate system level magnification work like this

yep just got it working

first launch on the latest experimental just hung on the Ubisoft launcher, second attempt altering nothing triggered the extra 180mb launcher install and after a bit of faff setting up an account got into the game, which does get the fan blowing a little considering it's a mostly empty track with no interaction physics for vehicles.

forgotten how much I used to like Trackmania back around 15-20y ago

dunno if Steam playing up but since the latest install of the OS my download speeds taken a dive, always been very fast but slooooooow this morning.

The thing I love about all this is since buying one I'm checking on my Discovery queue every morning. I'm sticking to cheaper games instead of the dearer ones as get many more games for the sake of a few £20 ones. Katana Zero popped up this morning and only seemed to be a fiver, think I missed that on Game Pass last year but from the screenshots and gameplay it looked epic so had to purchase a copy for later. I need weeks off work to play through this new backlog!

At its heart it is a multiplayer game, really.

It can be a lot of fun with friends but I think it's pretty boring alone.

Lot less fan noise with those settings, it looks a little less shiny and pretty but you just don't notice that when blatting along.

Being a masochist and wanting to play the track of the day I decided to go for the annual pass for c£9, purchase hung on final step in the store, had to hard reset the deck but reloading the game it's all there.

Seems to hang on an exit from main menu to back to Steam

Gameplay is great though, and the daily track from yesterday already got me questioning the sanity of buying a year of this !
