Steam Deck (handheld from Valve) - shipping is 4-8 days from NL to UK

Been trying xcloud from work on a 4g connection - it's dogshit for something like Forza, but Immortality worked quite well.

And then tits appeared on the screen and then I realised it's not a very good game to play in the office. Oh well!

Also, Diablo 2 Remastered is at a price I'm willing to pay along with the Microsoft buyout happening soon, so I've finally bought a copy to play while PoE is in the no fun zone. Should be fine on Deck according to reports. Humble Choice popped for the month, as well.

This looks really good. Strongly tempted to ditch my PC, switch to a Deck and one of these for my full time PC experience:

This is my next step as I hardly use my iMac at all. Stck this thing into a monitor and it's a handy little low powered PC. You can pickup 256GB NVME SSDs for about £25 on eBay so might upgrade it and dualboot Windows 11 at some point.

Titanfall 2 is on sale for £4 and I'm tempted to blast through it again, even though I've got it on PS4, and Game Pass. Having this thing makes me want to rebuy all my favourites from the PS4/XB1 and PS3/360 gens.

I actually went and got this today. It still blows my mind im playing games like TF2 on a fucking handheld. At 60fps too! Handhelds are supposed to be little low powered things. Im becoming an old man.

I've been playing the ISS Pro Evolution Soccer. I still really enjoy it and it is a little sad that football games have lost the pure enjoyment of those older games. Couple of questions...

What do people consider the best PS1/2 Pro Evo?

Also is there a known modding community for any of them?

PES 3 probably. I think I enjoyed 4 more as it was easier and more open for mp, and 5 flipped too far and was too hard to score.

Ah yeah 3 was probably the one I had most fun on.

It runs well, then? Is that 60FPS at max settings?

For a moment, from seeing other replies, I thought you meant Team Fortress 2 and was sad you was lowballing the deck that much!

Speaking of lowballing, Diablo 2 Resurrected works quite nicely - it basically has the same setup as Diablo Immortal, and using the same launch command means it uses the same prefix, and as such the Battle.net installer (and, as a result, it shares the already activated login details). Just had to change the controller to an actual gamepad template instead of the hashed together KBM solution for Diablo Immortal.

Game presets to low, but it runs at 60 with no noticeable drops unless you have the performance graph on. From having a quick read, you can set it to Medium and still get 60fps if you set Battle.net to close when launching a game, so that's something.

Pro Evo 3-6 have subtle changes between them so they have their fans. 3 was a big change in engine from 2, I loved 3 but it feels a bit slow. Pro Evo 6 is the one that people keep coming back to but it's worth trying them to see which you vibe with more.

I actually have a soft spot for ISS Pro Evo 2 on PS1 because it has a great balance of squads and has a simplicity to its depth. It also works natively on the PSP.

If you have a GC emulator, Winning eleven 6 felt a bit different too (and you can get an English patch these days). Felt a bit more fluid and less on the rails. Like the others, it's barely any different but it might click if you lean more towards ISS.

Good shout.

Was trying to see if any of them had been modded or anything with 2022 players, teams, etc

WE 6 FE had 360 control I think, which took ages to come to PlayStation

I looked for one of these after watching, couldn't find them readily available in the UK and the ethernet port is only 100mbit. Hopefully there will be an updated model with gigabit at some point.

Any clue how to actually add the patch?

Never mind, I found the wronf patch

I've been using this for a couple of weeks - absolutely superb. Not far from Switch plug in and out play.
