Very much a lighthearted affair this week, so some of you will probably hate it.

 

The fuck was that at the end though?

It was Vision, right? But why was he in a exosuit with some similarly dressed mates? And were they the stones on the suit? Is that something from the comics?

Its all been meh, my overall opinion of the series has been disappointing and it was the one I been the most excited about when announced. The only episode I found amusing was the Starlord one. Again these What If? should have been a 2 episodes for each story, they're just too condensed and the pacing is completely off due to wrapping things up so fast.

I enjoyed this week's.

Ultron.  Vision was just a body for Ultron until The Avengers intervened.

I didn't like that at all. Let's squeeze in as many characters as possible, fans love the characters! It doesn't matter if they have no reason to be there. It's a what if! What if we made something worse than Thor 2?

 

2 duds in a row (imo, obviously, others enjoyed them). I really want to like the next one, I've been enjoying the series until the last couple.

That was enjoyably silly. I also think it's pretty funny that they got THAT many members of the live-action cast (maybe the most star-studded episode so far?) to be in such a daft episode.

 

But I think the animation style didn't fit well with some of the more cartoony elements (like

the giant FRANCE letters).

It was a weird blend of styles, taking 3D character models that seem designed to reproduce the live-action stuff, and pushing them to do Looney Tunes things that don't suit them very well. There were moments when they got funny expressions out of them, but as the episode progressed I kept thinking more and more, "I wish this whole thing had been done in 2D animation!"

 

Still, I did enjoy it! And I shouldn't complain too much, since it's probably the closest thing to Not Brand Echh that we're likely to see in the MCU any time soon:

Also the infinity gems don't work outside their universe, according to Loki

It's a cartoon, drawn on a pc. It's kinda not gonna look realistic. 

 

Oh yeah, and the infinity stone contradiction was annoying actually.

But clearly he could have fired that arrow from the ledge. 

 

That was a great episode though, it almost felt like the conclusion to all the marvels so I don't need to watch any more. By far the best What If.
