How good are Nintendo getting it to you on launch day as I have never ordered from them before?

Pretty good, I’ve never had problems with them. I cancelled my other one and went with them, you get freebies too with the Dread pack.

£350 with the 64gb storage (the cut corner), £459 with the 256gb NVMe ssd, £569 with the 512gb NVMe ssd and anti glare screen.

Yeah, to be clear the 64gb is not only 64gb (which for PC games is going to quickly be shit all) but it's also slower than the other 2.

Lovely machine but clearly a "to cost" model.

Switch games absolutely do not look shite on a big 4k screen…

How are you finding gaming on the projector btw? I fired up Resident Evil 8 and //think// I found the input lag too much to bear, though that may have been me looking for it as I'd heard it was an issue. Do you play on it frequently?

I use it all the time and I don't notice - make sure it's on game mode though.  If you play twitch games or something then maybe - but I'm old and generally shite at fast games now, so maybe I don't notice sometihng that others might.

I think whoever’s running the Nintendo store has changed in the last few months.  The website changed and is more inline with the general branding of Nintendo’s other websites and you can’t cancel orders without contacting them now. I think the store accounts and Nintendo accounts got merged too around the time the website changed.

My last order from them came in a fancier branded packaging, it looked like a normal cardboard game sized box on the outside but when you ripped it open it there was a full colour printed picture of Mario on the inside. I think it might actually be in-house or much closer to that now than when the hut group ran it.

Well, I convinced myself that I needed one of these. Not sure why as I mainly play on my TV, but maybe this new screen being a OLED and slightly bigger will convince me to play handheld more as it does look really nice from the videos I have seen on Youtube. I also had the original Switch as well, so at least it is a little bit more of an upgrade.

Really looking forward to Metroid more than the actual hardware though. Hopefully it will be a good one.

I am sure they will no doubt announce a "Pro" version next year sometime though.

I am pretty sure they took my money as soon as I pre-ordered it last week.

Oh they probably did with mine too then, perhaps I’m getting overly excited - it’s in the pending bit on my bank account

They might do, and I'm flogging my launch day Switch to cover some of the cost of this new OLED Switch.
If there's a fully backward compatibility "Switch 2" or "Switch Pro" released next year, I'll just sell the OLED Switch to cover that, and have a lovely and pleasant year playing Switch games with on a lovely larger OLED screen!
