Doesn’t it run Steam? That seems to have a lot of games.

My Steam library currently has 4 games in it though, so it’s not a deciding factor.

Yeah but Nintendo make the best games.

I’m getting a steam deck too but realise it only has lots of mid games on it. Certainly nothing to the standard of a AAA Nintendo title. In fact, I’ll probably use it for emulating old Nintendo games.

Well that’s really my issue, I don’t have any intended use for it.

The thought of playing all the indie games I play on Switch is appealing but then I’d rather be playing them on the Switch anyway. But if people are raving about it when it comes out it may be a different matter.

For another two and a bit months, anyway.

Not entirely sure why but I've decided to get on board the hype train and pre order one. I do wish it was a Switch Pro instead but eh, it still looks better than no Switch at all.

This is true, although the Steam deck is also a decent amount more expensive, especially for the version without the cut corners.

I’d advise cancelling that and getting yourself the OLED you know it makes sense.

The Nintendo store has these in stock for pre-order for anyone on the fence, you get a free case if you order one with a game.

Does anyone know how easy it is to transfer my games etc. over to the new Switch, and can I just plug in my SD card from the old one?

Sure. It doesn’t need a performance upgrade. But it really fucking needs a performance upgrade. Ya know?

The Switch OLED is disappointing as fuck and we all know it.

Cant fucking wait to hide mine behind the TV where the current one lives.

I just pre-ordered one from Curry's for delivery tomorrow!

Then they immediately emailed to say they wouldn't be able to deliver it as soon as they said and they'll call me to explain...

I was really just hoping to get one on release day but now I wonder if it will even make that.

Also I have no clue what games are coming up on Switch, I don’t pay much attention to them.

No doubt some cracking games coming, but in my opinion none that look quite as juicy as either Super Mario Odyssey or ARMS (2017) or even the heavier WiiU ports (Super Mario 3D World and Mario Kart 8).

I'm not so sure even Nintendo would know what to do with extra power if they were to grant themselves some.

Did you tell him it will look exactly the same as the old Switch?

That's right. Just because the screen on the console is OLED doesn't mean the video output to an OLED TV is going to be improved in any way.
