Have we ever seen England at any tournament in a leading position not just giving the ball to the opposition and sitting deep and inviting pressure? I don't even recognise what I'm seeing. This is absolutely transformative stuff. Even if they go out next round or whatever, this is the most radical change in the mentality of English players in all the time I've been watching them.

We have fallen through a wormhole into a different multiverse.

Not long to go now for England!

It doesn't really matter though. Because we effectively have byes to the final.

Tonight will be efficiency and a solid win. Maybe 4 or 5 nil.

I've not followed the footy for a fairly long while, so know very few of the players but I like this team. Not because they're winning (although that's brilliant), but just because of the way they're playing. There seems to be no fear there, we've not shipped a goal yet, and they don't  seem at all flakey. It's like watching a different team. Gareth Southgate is probably getting a knighthood.

Luke Shaw going off at the Stadio Olympico. He should walk straight to the Roma managers office and write “Fuck you” on the desk.

It’s ok, I don’t think he’d move to Roma.
