You can't do anything about the bad writing but this is showing that Zombie really should have made it Black & White.

So watched this earlier and….: it’s is every bit as bad and as unfunny as we thought it would be - how this was green lighted I have no idea.  
 

Which is a pitty as the munsters is ripe for a modern day spin - this will kill any future interests by the studio for quite some time.

Yeah, this is bad and it's completely down to the script and acting, both of which are utterly terrible (God knows what Sherri Moon Zombie was trying to do with that accent). There was literally only 1 joke that got a titter from me and ever other joke fell completely flat. Everyone just overacts to the point where it feels like a porn parody.

 

Incidentally though I didn't hate the way it looked, I thought some of the sets, lighting and costume designs were rather decent and dare I say it, even some of the directorial choices. However none of which are enough to save the film or eve bump it up a star rating. Plus even though some costumes looked good, others just looked like Halloween get ups.

 

I can't work out if Zombie was going for a homage or parody with this one, but it fails on both fronts and overall its as crap as we all thought it would be.
