yeah. Much more impressive than the first few minutes of Horizon, though that was tainted by the fact I’m sure I’m not in the right place in the raft.

I’m not getting sharpness to the edges of the screen though: I wonder if it’s just the effect of my glasses.

The only thing with the play area is that it wouldn’t let me ignore it when I sat down to play Gran Turismo, it tried to make me redo the safe area to include the settee I was sitting on, so I stood up and played it. 
 

Are there settings for sitting down in GT?

There's something I find very funny about a man playing a racing game stood up whilst talking about what a transformative experience VR is.

I played it sitting down after that. It lets you set a temporary play area for sitting down. The whole thing seems really well thought through. 
 

Definitely having a rest for now as GT is clearly not one for beginners, felt the stomach go a bit, and yes that was sitting down.

Can you set two zones like the quest, sitting down one and normal one? When If i get one it will be only sitting down on GT7 so hope there is a full time sitting down mode!

Yeah, you can have different setup/ areas for sitting and standing.

Yeah it lets you choose, it’s fast and easy. 
 

I’m taking a good break now, I can definitely feel the effects of it. Not awful but definitely my brain telling me to stop. I’ve had a good hour or so on it in total  (with breaks in between) so not bad for the first day.

What's that wheel and pedal stand thing? 

 

I always have to make a bodge job for my wheel which involves clamping the wheel to my ironing board and trying to make a wedge for the pedals as they keep slipping away on my fake wood floor. It works but it's a faff but that thing also looks nice and small for putting it away when done.

A wheel stand. Maybe a https://wheelstandpro.com/

I suspect there's good chat to be had about them in the steering wheel or sim racing threads.

Mine is due to arrive in a few mins.  And I am at work but thankfully the Mrs is at home.  But I am working tonight so won't get to open it until tomorrow. 

 

Its like fecking Xmas Eve now! 

 

Also - my payment is pending.  After delivery I might just try and cancel it and see what happens. 🤑
