The digital edition is now available to preorder from Nintendo, for any complete schmucks keen beans wanting to pay £50.

Or £42, if you use the Game Voucher Offer, & then you can save the second voucher for Wind Waker HD or Twilight Princess HD coming later this year.

(Allegedly)

I know I'm the worst type of consumer, but I'd really like to see a HD remaster of Ocarina of Time.

Something I thought we might see is a Remaster of the 3DS Zelda games (Ocarina & Majora) for Switch as the graphics & animations were already redone & some of the YouTube channels I watch have shown them uprezzed to TV size & they look really good. There's also the QoL improvements they made such as the better signposting in the Water Temple.

Or £37ish if you switch to Russia, buy the game vouchers, then switch back to the UK.

A vocal portion of the gaming community HATED motion controls with a passion. I'd be surprised if there were a lot of people who actually had issues while playing the game.

I finished Skyward Sword a year after release and the controls were not that great. They'll have aged poorly over the last decade considering how much the game relies on different types of attacks and inputs.

That really works?

Yes. And has done for years. Only thing Nintendo has done to affect it is meddle with the exchange rate for South Africa, which used to be the region of choice.

There's even a site for checking the best prices:

https://eshop-prices.com/

Using non-NOE regions is pretty much a non-starter though for various reasons.

They’ve said it will have smoother motion controls but, tbh, there’s nothing really to compare it to controls wise - it’s a fairly unique game in that respect.

I really don’t want to ever see this game ever again. I finished it back in the day but it has to be the worst Zelda title out there, or at least worst 3D version. I quite liked the waggle so that isn’t even the issue, it’s just a dull game that is frustrating. Firstly Fi, every two seconds giving you tutorials you’ve heard 80 million times already. The game constantly telling you how much a rupee is and not to spend it all at once. The boss fight that is repeated at least 3 times and is just dull. But the worst bit of all was the repeated level but under water. The dialogue basically goes ‘i know you’re the hero of time, you’ve done all the trials and we are running out of time but I just need to double check, I’ve filled the level with water, collect all the music notes within the time limit’. This is near the end of the game too. It’s just terrible game design, the dungeons were overly long and just dull and ugh I just never want to see this game every again.

I'd forgotten collecting the notes under water.

Far too much padding in this game and completely agree I'd never want to go back the more remember of the game the less I want to play it. Shame really as the good bits were really good. But overall? It will be interesting to see what the new generation of gamers think about this and I wonder how many of the gamers who played through it first time around finish this on the switch! :) Good luck and hope it still lives up to the memories.

Wow I forgot just how much people who don’t like this game really like telling other people they don’t like this game.

I think people who think they like the game are in for a bit of a shock if/when they replay it. Kinda like how people who thought they liked Mario Sunshine felt when they revisited it in the Mario 35th collection.

I had myself down as a fan generally of Skyward Sword, because time stones (fucking genius) but years later my overriding memory is just having to fight that rank toe boss again and again and I don’t want to have to do it again and again again.

Just gonna leave the whole thing in the past with my fond to decent to low opinions on it all in a jumble. No sense being arsed to sample it all again only to be even less fond of it.

It’s heroes like you that save me the time in having to suffer through playing that trash game.

The waggle was enough for me to sign out and not waste my time! Sounds like it’s worse than I expected.

Completely agree with the above. Memories come flooding back of the trials. :)

but the trials were great!  Really tense - needed you to plan your run using stamina flowers and the best order to collect the tears in to give you the most safe time...

Yeah, the trials were just a standard stealth section, which Zelda has done before. I know some people hate those but I was fine with them and they didn't take that long.

I remember the tadpoles being a bit of a ballache. But in general I liked going back places doing differ T stuff, as long as the tasks themselves were interesting. TP had a lot of one and done areas that meant I didn't really feel connected to the world.

But it is truly the world's most marmite game. I didn't even dislike the Imprisoned.

The bit with the time stones on the ship was incredible. I’d love to play that section again but there’s no way I’m enduring the rest of the game just to get to it.

have any hackers done a fan edit? I think there truly is a great game in there if they just chopped out some of the considerable padding and made sweeping QoL changes.
