Shit, AGAIN?!

This is the best way indeed, but microwaving one for 5secs is also amazing.

If you find the tunnel effect on Zandvoort bad, I'd like you to check the Singapore F1 track with its 3m high barriers.

And all tracks that host F1 have fast, flowing sections mixed with slow winding bits...even Spa. If they weren't it would be called Indycar racing.

I agree with your stance on Assen though. You can also park behind the stand you're sitting on which is awesome.

I'm not partial to Zandvoort just because I'm Dutch, but I prefer this reskin over the old one. So much in fact that it has got my attention now as I really didn't like the old one. Corners flow more and there even were overtakes here and there, despite all expectations.

when you say "the old one" are you meaning the pre-85 version, or the 98-2019 version (the current on, but unbanked)?

Nah I think it's going to be a cordial transition of number 1s, Russell gets to see one of the GOATs up close for a couple of seasons and Hamilton gets to pit himself against someone with a lot to prove but a long career ahead of him.

I didn't necessarily mean that it won't be cordial, although I won't be the least surprised if it isn't, but more that George is incredibly ambitious/ruthless and will be gunning for Lewis from day 1. He definitely won't be the meek lamb to the slaughter that Bottas was, I'm sure of that. Can't wait.

Just got round to watching it, that was an exhibition rather than a race, Max in total control.

The track is awful for racing, all that time and money to produce that. Paul Ricard has a new challenger. Hope the 22 cars will work here because that was a snoozefest.

yeah but AREN'T THOSE DUTCH FANS SO PASSIONATE

I can feel next year's bets coming on. :D

I'd love to be wrong cos I feel like F1 has missed a lot of needle with Merc's dominance and the inconsequence of a lot of teams (Ferrari, McLaren, RenaultAlpine) scrapping for a handful of points. Would be nice if McLaren and Ferrari could sort themselves out - 2010 and 2012 (well, part of it) were so much fun when anyone in the top 10 had a shot of the win.

Absolutely. Here's hoping.

Anyone that thinks George is going to rock up and blow Lewis out of the park is deluding themselves.

I'm prepared to state that next year Lewis will be 20 points + ahead of George at the end of the season.

£50 to the sands Sands (Stillbirth and Neonatal Death Charity) is the stake

Baring injury or covid.

A whole 20 points! Really pushing the boat out on that one. ;)

I like this quote about Bottas' moved to Alfa

Quote

Valtteri has been an integral part of a team that rewrote the history books and he has four constructors' world titles to his name

I mean they're not wrong but does any driver look back on their career and go "well I won four constructors' championships"

He's going to have to swap flights and go back to Finland because there isn't enough ice in Monaco for him to attend to that burn.

"To whom it may concern, fuck you."

It's a real shame.  Valtteri would have deserved a podium championship because he was such a sensational wingman.

That’s a staff medal :) the team handed them out for each race win/championship win. I guess whoever is selling that one left and isn’t terribly sentimental!

Red Bull don’t have anyone to replace him. Albon is so good they don’t want him in either Red Bull team and no one else in the young driver program seems to be impressing enough for a F1 seat.

And yet Horner is again whining this morning that everyone is ruining Albon's career but him, the person with 4 seats he didn't put him in.

TSU is a very lucky boy, he should thank Honda every night before bedtime. Because he should be gone. He needs to take a big step next year.

But honda are off at the end of the year, aren't they?

So him staying on board can't be coming from them.
