I get that, but it's forced on the teams, they have to make two passes. The only risk seems to be how many places they lose in getting the boost. Which then doesn't seem to give them enough extra juice to make up places more than they had already.

Don't get me wrong, I like the idea of 3 boost laps, but I can't see it working at the moment.  At least DRS allows cars to pass on tracks that try to promote passing.

And to be fair, they constantly play with the number and duration to see what effect it has.  We've seen between 4 and 8 minutes for instance.

Nico could easily do commentary + his post race. Time to boot out PDR, Johnny and maybe even Damon from the punditry team. But keep Damon for the podcasts which are great.

What's the podcast?

The cars look crap, the circuits are crap (did anyone watch Docklands 👀), it's not entertaining. The FE product is not a good one for fans right now imo.

With all the progression mentioned above, eventually it will be. And then big daddy F1 will come in, kill it and take over.

When did this turn into the pro wrestling thread?!

To be clear, I'm not saying you're wrong!

All things considered, I am a fan of FE. But they don't always make it particularly easy to like. Too much Stupid Shit going on, like that event where the Attack Zone lane was positioned in such a way that it, by design, sent faster cars into slower cars' blind spot on a corner. I think it led to four cars DNFing in the wall. Genuinely absurd.

I actually quite like di Resta these days. He used to be about as exciting as watching paint dry but nowadays he speaks his mind a bit more and often brings up interesting observations and topics.

The cynic in me suggests this change happened the absolute nanosecond he gave up on racing an F1 car again.

Lots of people calling it unfair etc and "how dare the FIA take this away from him, his second place finish will always stand in my mind" style comments

I mean, I can totally understand that - I am personally still utterly livid at the 13th place that Andrea de Cesaris lost when he was disqualified from the 1990 French Grand Prix :(

The aftermath of that is the first time I've seen a lot of them shocked.

Still raced mind.

And then raced again on the same circuit the next weekend.

And then you get Verstappen fans being like "Hamilton tried to murder Max!"
