Well Crimson Dawn was afraid to openly cross them. So even Maul was a little afraid of them.

None of that means anything to me. I shouldn't have to be an expert on modern SW to understand the stakes.

[I know who Maul is, if you mean Darth Maul. I don't know what he has to do with this show].

Think of them as the Yakuza.

That was great. A bit sad that

Spoiler

the best episode so far is the one without the title character in it

but that was damn good. That also looked like

Spoiler

the old pod racing track too, so I had a look online and confirmed that Beggar’s Canyon is on the Mos Espa circuit.

The

Spoiler

ship must’ve been a nod to George Lucas, with the ‘supercharger’ sticking out of the bonnet.

Plus

Spoiler

Pedro Pascal is really starting to sound like Clint Eastwood !

Ok that was great.

In addition to other comments:

Spoiler

-liked that they show a sabre being legit as dangerous to the user as the opponent

-anyone notice that the old droid port in mandos hotrod is now basically a baby-seat?

-I'm sorry, but WHY IS BD1 HERE?!

Also, did anyone else feel like the cinimatography was completely different? I checked the credits, and it's still all Favreau.

The ringworld was great looking too.

edit:

Oh, and who was it last week who said the show needed more gore? Here's a dogfaced man being cleaved clean in two.

That was brilliant!

Spoiler

It was also very much a Mandalorian episode though, although I'm not complaining.

The opening fight was great. The ringworld was great. The whole building the ship sequence with the BD-1 lookalike was great. The ship itself was great, little Grogu cockpit and all. :D

More like this please. This is the way.

Lol wut

Spoiler

It's a bottle episode! Sort of! And it was quite good! (Still think episode 2 was best, but this is like a little Mandalorian vignettes episode)

I think it's really somewhat embarrassing that in this episode it just reiterates that Mando is way more Fett than Fett himself has been. He's straight up murdering dudes and collecting dead or alive bounties again!

Basically felt like a very expensive looking Mando day out, for better or worse.

The little Terminator homage shot was definitely the best bit.

Best episode

Spoiler

It further goes to show that there really was no point in a Boba Fett solo show when The Mandalorian is doing exactly what that show should've been anyway.

And as someone who is currently playing Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, I loved the little BD droid.

That was great. It does make me wonder why they’ve bothered giving this a separate title, it’s basically Mando season 3. I suppose they’re following the MCU model of having one story threading through everything and everyone turning up in each other’s films.

Spoiler

I wonder if it’s the actual one, and she’s a collector of famous droids, or whether that’s just ‘some’ pitdroids, a random R5 unit, and a random BD.

Really enjoyed that episode.

Spoiler

Lots of great cameos, a very simple story told well, loads of great locations and background stuff and the overall plot of these Disney shows is moved forwards ever so slightly.

I haven't had the same issues with Boba Fett as others - I feel like when a man wakes up being digested by a sarlacc, it's fair enough that he might re-evaluate the course of his life. I think this most recent episode supports that, with Mando getting injured and floating from place to place with nowhere to call home. It's not a job you want to do forever and, as Boba said, you get sick of working for idiots.

Not defending every silly thing Boba has done, mind, but I at least understand the motivation.

Anyway, loved the episode. Top Star Wars. Hope they keep it up.
