Unsure who wanted the Vpn trick.

Go to eneba or gamivo website.

Find game you want.

Get key sent via email

Use Vpn on laptop or phone

Set to country of game code

Go to redeem.microsoft website whilst VPN is set to the same country.

Input code.

Only tip is don't swap to loads of different countries in one go or your account gets flagged and you can't use codes for a while.

I check my laptop later to see what free VPN I use but iv uses turkey, Argentina games loads.

I 'think' Brazil codes don't work

My other tip is regularly go on HotUKDeals and search for Xbox. People put all sorts of country games on there so you can spot them

As I understand it, the codes you're buying are codes that individuals have bought from the local store as gifts and are selling you through eneba.

Microsoft have noticed the (no doubt vast) number of games being gifted to people in other countries and have stopped this method of gifting games in Argentina.

As a result, only already generated codes are available. That's why codes for, for example, the Calisto Protocol, aren't available from Argentina on Eneba, et al.

Ok it's been out for 10 minutes. Who wants to give me a review?

GamesRadar decided to bung their review out at midnight - presumably the others are waiting till the morning when they can plug it at a time when more people are awake.

They gave it a 3/5 because it’s a good game but the combat is hard, but not in a fun way (for the reviewer at least). I might be simplifying that a tad.

It’s not the slam dunk I was hoping for, but the criticisms focus on the lack of new ideas; it’s basically a faithful retread of Dead Space, with some potentially clunky mechanics (bad signposting on enemy attacks). I haven’t played Dead Space since the 360 days, so overexposure to the series is not a problem for me, and doesn’t phase me terribly.

It’s got Edge 6 written all over it. I’m not sure that’s a bad thing.

They’re all complaining about stuttering. That will be another game that doesn’t build the shader cache ahead of time then, for fuck’s sake. Even on console it’s reviewing pretty poorly so never mind.

I’m actually quite tempted to buy and then refund it just to see how badly it runs on a 4090.

A couple of years down the line, we're going to get the 'my big regret is that we didn't push back against the publishers when we knew the game wasn't ready yet' line, aren't we?

This is a bit of a shame really.

Wonder how the Dead Space remake will go down now...I assume we'll not have reviews of this one until 2024.

I’m in no way technical and know nothing about the challenges of software development however, it does feel like the more power we get the worse a lot of the games run.

Is it a case of ambition always outrunning ability and capability?

I’m having more fun with old games on my Steam Deck than I am playing the latest on my PS5 just now. Part of that is definitively the old games running buttery smooth and having most of the bugs and issues already addressed.

I’ve always been a day 1 person, for no reason other than I’m a bit excitable kid. I’m getting closer to flipping completely in the opposite direction.

It happens when teams rely on third party engines and middleware without having an internal technical team overlooking this stuff. You end up with really obvious issues like not building shader cache and terrible HDR implementation.

There’s an element of not understanding how relatively beefy the new consoles are too. The RPS reviewer is complaining about performance on her “not top of the line any more” PC while trying to run it on a 1070.

The alarm bells were ringing for me when they added extra animations as DLC, if that doesn’t scream ‘our game isn’t ready’ I don’t know what does.

A shame because it looked hopeful and it’s pretty much the only big AAA release now this side of Christmas. Ah well.

Not far off the 78 on Metascore I predicted, but the issues highlighted in the more mixed reviews are an enough of a concern to put this on the back burner. I’m not going to add another game to my pile for £50 when it will probably be half that within a few months.
