This would have been a perfect game for gamepass. 😭

Probably will be at some point. Although TBH everything I play doesn't *have* to be on GamePass. Happy to buy games outside of it. Wouldn't mind having a demo of this to try though as sometimes I can only play 30mins or so of these types of games and I'm done. Not that they are overly scary just sometimes they feel a bit predictable. Silent Hill 2 was probably my ultimate "on edge" game as well the atmosphere was everything even if nothing much actually happened in the game!

I find the continued use of QTEs disappointing. They seem to be placed over some spectacular scene that you then can't watch and enjoy because you're having to remain vigilant for the prompts.

If for whatever reason you can't just have it as a normal part of the game, make it intuitive. Playing lots of Yakuza at the moment. When you want me to QTE dodge a punch at the start of so many fights, forget the prompt and just let me press the existing dodge button within a reasonable window. Why am I pressing my heavy attack button to dodge?

This does look excellent, but I need to hold on and wait for info about how prevalent QTEs are, because I hate them that much.

Also it’s about two weeks to release and they’ve not released the PC specs properly yet, which is a little suss. Not that I’m particularly concerned my stater won’t run it, more that I feel as though if you’re happy to take people’s money through pre-orders, you really ought to be supplying that info on principle.

This looks absolutely incredible. The trailer is pitch perfect with the action beats over the music and the hints of how the combat may well play out. With this and Ragnarok we really are seeing the quality that single player games can hit when they have the backing they deserve.

2022 has been one of, if not the, best year for gaming for me with Elden Ring and two legendary games (Death Stranding and Sekiro) being played for the first time, but this looks like it could slot into that company and really hold its own. Just need to get Ragnarok finished now so I can devote all my time to Callisto.

Not sure how it is on multi platform games, but SCE games have accessibility options that for one allow to just keep the button pressed. Made Horizon 2 and Ragnarok that little bit better.

That trailer, it looks like the game takes itself achingly seriously but then you see the monsters and it's about as scary as House Of The Dead. I just hope there's more to it than shooting generic bags of alien zombie flesh.

Imagine (or hoping) it’s a more action-led trailer to entice a broader market. Slow-burn scares and a brooding atmosphere are harder to sell in a two-minute promo.

Also hoping the sound design is good. Planning on playing with the lights off and headphones on.

Locking some of the games animations behind a paid season pass is a properly shitty thing to do. I mean I don’t really care about cosmetic stuff like different outfits, but this ridiculous. Just give me the full game, if I like it I’ll consider paying for new content when it arrives, now I definitely wont be buying this day one, I’ll wait until I can get the whole thing with everything included when it drops in price.

Yep, that basically makes it a second hand purchase on principle for me (if it turns out to be really good) Deliberately making your game slightly lower quality for people handing over their cash - go fuck yourselves. you greedy, greedy wankers.

The devs have gone on record to say that they haven’t even made said animations yet, so it is additional content.

Personally I wouldn’t pay for extra character death animations because I’m an elite g@mer and don’t die in games.

I’m glad other people agree, I’d hate this kind of thing to become the norm.

It’s like the people fought back against loot boxes so now they’re looking for other ways in which to rip off customers.

I mean Sony already established a £69.99 price point so charge that if you want. Sure you’ll get some pushback but rather that than force people to pay for animations you’ve cut. Jesus wept.

They haven’t cut the animations as they haven’t made them yet.

So they are charging for stuff they have no idea if it's any good or not? What happens if they implement them (beyond the concept art they must have at minimum done so far to even know they have 12 of them) and they're shit - they just ship them anyway?
