Every time I hear him speak or contribute to anything I just think who is this generic cunt and why is he talking to me? He appears to be a man of no discernible talent or inspiration - neither particularly bright, interesting, funny, informative nor engaging on any level.

A narcissist like the great commander of the U S of A.

Too full of himself, the whole show and games are just there as set dressing for his ego. He does or achieves nothing yet thinks of himself of the most important man in gaming. He is the main reason I won't ever watch this show. He is one of the worst 10 personalities in gaming for me.

Honestly who the fuck is Geoff?

I don't mean to be disrespectful, I'm just trying to be as accurate as possible.

I don’t disagree, but at least “generic” is safe and has the least potential for offending people. Imagine if it was some teenage YouTuber you hadn’t heard of making jokes that fall on their arse and generally being a cringey trainwreck. I think that I’m happier with Geoff. :D

You nailed it. He's had every single rough edge, fissure and crag of his personality sandblasted off by fate, leaving only a smooth sentient cipher.

Did it not get best Family Game or something?

Think that went to the Last of Us 2.

Edit: balls, I see that gag had already been cracked. Can we ignore this and go back to ripping Geoff’s shoes please?

edit 2: I fell asleep at the critical moment, have the trailers for Wave Race and FZero next gen been taken down?!?!

Why did I stay up and watch all that? I'm so tired.

Extremely bland. Too many ads and sponsors - Geoff shilling an SSD, "we've teamed up with", etc.

Pointless celebrity introductions for awards and unknown reasons why a game actually one out of five completely different genres and art styles. Although that's no different from most other awards shows.

I watched it for the trailers, of course. An alright bunch, although I'm beginning to grow tired of CGI teasers where you don't get a hint of what the game actually is. Or the ones that say 2022 and beyond. That's so long away.

Roll on next year's awards.

Stupid decision to stay up and watch this when at 8am I get woken up by the sound of next doors builders!

The show itself was ok with a few surprises shown way to early like Dead Space 4, Perfect Dark, Mass Effect etc all 2022 or later.

Last of Us 2 sweeping up the awards felt sorry for Animal Crossing it deserved an award.

Lots and lots of 4 player Left 4 Dead clones & we also get the original return with a new name.

Vin Diesel

Hazelight new game looks like a fun co-op title.

As already mentioned Geoff’s choice of shoes made me lol

In places felt like an Xbox E3 conference smart move by Microsoft to get more eyeballs on gamepass.

The important part which was the awards I don’t really care but felt sorry for Animal Crossing it deserved an award.

Is there a list of what was announced anywhere?

Because this place, true to form, has created a thread for the one nostalgia product, and none for any of the new games.

Eurogamer's news section seems to have a pretty comprehensive summary from what I can remember.

Highlights for me in terms of new IP were probably It Takes Two, The Callisto Protocol, Back 4 Blood and Season. Two of those games are spiritual sequels to old IP admittedly.

Say what?! For real?

The Callisto Protocol is basically a spiritual sequel by a different team led by the executive producer of Dead Space.
