These Italian biscuits are great, and only £1.27p on Ocado so not too much of a ripoff for import jobs.

They are like a puffed and nicer tasting thicker rich tea, but not as dense as puffed a little. Great tea dunkers

But still, £1.27(!) for essentially Rich Tea?

When? What? How?  I love Bahlsen biscuits!

The heiress of a German biscuit company has apologised for saying the firm "did nothing wrong" in its use of forced labour during Nazi rule.

The controversy started last week, when Ms Bahlsen told delegates at a marketing conference: "I'm a capitalist. I own a quarter of Bahlsen, that's great. I want to buy a sailing yacht and stuff like that."

Although German newspaper Handelsblatt reported that the audience clapped and laughed along with her, some social media users accused the heiress of being insensitive to the company's past exploitation of forced labourers by making light-hearted remarks about her wealth.

Asked about the criticism in an interview with Bild newspaper, Ms Bahlsen replied: "That was before my time, and we paid the forced labourers exactly as much as German workers and we treated them well."

She added that the company had nothing to feel guilty about.

Bahlsen as a medium-sized company in the food industry was neither economically nor politically on the front line under the Nazi regime. Nevertheless, the company did profit from the economic opportunities offered by National Socialism.

While the Bahlsen brothers were not top representatives of the NSDAP (Nazi party), they were party members and in regular contact with NSDAP officials.

It's not a biscuit, but we don't have an equivalent thread for chocolate-based goodies, so here I am.

I tried a hazelnut flavour Wispa Gold today and it wasn't pleasant. I didn't think the hazelnut-flavoured caramel works at all, there's an aftertaste that is not very nice and you also lose the nice Wispa chocolate flavour. For anybody who has tried the hazelnut creme Kit-Kat, it tastes like that (that's another treat that wasn't good). Even as a hazelnut lover, I wouldn't want to have another one.

Maybe we need a chocolate-based thread then? I don't eat that much of the stuff, but I do like decent quality stuff.

Have you tried these? I'm not the biggest fan of Lindt chocolate generally, but as a hazelnut fan myself I do find these rather good:

This was probably my favourite chocolate bar ever. Until they brought this out:

Ooh! Haven't seen those. I prefer dark choccy, so I'd probably share your opinion. Will keep a look out for them...

What's wrong with the start new thread button?

These are probably the best biscuits I've ever tasted, and I've tried a lot! They are £1 at Tesco if you're a clubcard holder. Seriously, try them!

Got some of these because of your comment, another vote for best biscuits ever.

The Milka Lu are great - I just bought two today from a local newsagent.

But I tried to hunt down the original Petit Beurre which I haven't tasted yet from the local Tesco which didn't have them and then I look them up on their website which says they don't stock them anymore! 😭
