Same, I posted this pic in the PS5 thread. My Daughter until today despite trying with everything from traditional games, to Sing Star, to Lego Dimensions, I just couldn’t get her interested in gaming, watching me play this for 30 seconds and she was hooked,

This is more than a freebie, this is a magical little journey down PlayStation History lane and a remarkable insight into the Controller and what’s to come with the PS5.

After adoring the VR original, I would love to be playing this. And it sounds like a proper love letter to Playstation history. I can't justify it right now, but am jealous of you folk who can. Sounds like the best console freebie ever (might even beat Hexic).

That's got to be Wii sports surely?

I didn't really like AB VR that much (can't bear VR) although I understood why others did, but this is a pretty spectacular launch showcase. When I think that I paid full price for 1-2-Switch (and admittedly did have a good laugh with it with various groups), this is completely on another level - for nowt. Slipping on the little pile of mud made me laugh with surprise. It really is rather special. I would have been happy to pay thirty quid, and would have recommended it.

I am having a fun time with this. I've completed the four worlds (all puzzle pieces and artefacts) and completed all the puzzles and artefacts overall. A lot of fun surprises along the way!

I will probably run the speedrun levels as well - it's a fun game!

I wouldn't want every game to be as intense a demonstration of the haptics, controller audio and adapative triggers as this, but it's a really fun playroom.

The only downside I do see in it is that, when it's as fun and comprehensive and playful celebration of Sony's console gaming history, it's a little sad that Sony itself doesn't feel the same way about letting me enjoy that history on the PS5.

This took me a while to figure out. The downside to Astrobot is that Sony don't have full BC on PS5, right?

Kinda, yeah, although I agree it both sounds stupid and was badly phrased.

Seeing the lovingly drawn references to old games, and the big PlayStation history mural and all that it makes you a bit nostalgic. Maybe I'd even have downloaded Pain, or whatever. And then you obviously can't.

It's not like I'm blaming Astrobot for the capabilities of the PS5, but it just briefly showed this image of a platform with this really rich history that could be being celebrated all the time.
