Oh cool. I was looking at who was on what while playing gt sport with the MNRC crew and I was like, oh just me and someone else then....:unsure:

 

More than happy to give Smyths my dosh, and can always find an excuse to go to Plymouth with work.

I got my Series X from them and no issues. 
 

I managed to bag a PS5 from Smyths this morning too. Wasn’t expecting a drop just yet but had my phone in hand when various Twitter bot notifications came up and luckily my order for delivery went straight through. I wasn’t expecting that after several months of trying!

I missed the smyths drop because I had to pass reception at 0750 this morning, to get into work

 

Reception is covered by security outside core hours

 

security is the red-headed stepchild when it comes to IT. They were still on win7 18months after everyone else was upgraded to win10. Mind you, so were the post room AND reprographics.

 

that changed when I joined. Let me tell you!

 

anyway, their request for help with a known print issue meant I missed the drop.

So I should add that I got my 'you need to come and get this' e-mail this morning. With most retailers hours being all over the place the two day grace to fetch it was a bit of a challenge. Fortunately, today it was only a 15 minute diversion from my intended route so I thought 'sod it' and off I went.

 

Bloke behind the counter seemed a bit irritated, said there was some paperwork to do and with that handed over the massive box and off I went. I need to hoover my boot out....

Do you remember a while ago Currys started a lottery to win the chance to buy a PS5?  Well today I got an email saying I'd been chosen to have the chance to buy one, but I've managed to get one in the meantime from Very.  If anyone is still looking for themselves I'm happy to send you the link and the code.  I have no idea if it's tied to my email so it might not work but it's probably worth a try?  Code says it has to be used by 12 May, first to PM gets it.

I almost got one from Smyths the other day but their checkout system is awful. 

She had the same issue, PS5 in basket and spent an hour trying to get it checked out until she gave up.

Yeah I had a few stock alerts for Smyths last week, which I checked instantly but was always showing as out of stock. Never even got as far as adding to basket.

 

Fingers crossed for those that are still trying.
