Monster Hunter: Rise. Sunbreak confirmed for June 30th, 2022

You'd be as well do the village stuff as it'll take about three minutes per hunt with your gear.

 

Not sure who your previous Urgent Quests in the gathering hub were, but even if you took out the 'final' one, there's still one left at rank 100. 

 

Sounds like it'll take forever if you're specifically grinding for rank, but you go up about 5 ranks a time from 7* rampage quests.

Thanks thought that was the case. Guess I'll grind out some skills I want then on the way to 100.

This is gaming crack btw. It's just so quick to play. Makes the grind flyby. 

All I've played since it hit Gamepass.

It really is. It's just got such a refined gameplay loop, you can lose hours and hours. 

 

I absolutely love it when monsters run into each together and start fighting, it's such cool element. I was playing the other day and 3 late game monsters were in the same area fighting. It was absolute carnage! 

 

Really expected this thread to burst into life with it being on PS and Xbox, but I guess not.

Finally got around to starting Master Rank despite owning Sunbreak since release. Loving it all over again! 

 

Its worked out well taking almost a year off, because replaying the early monsters in the MR1 and MR2 quests doesn't feel like the repetitious chore that it sometimes does when you come straight off the back of HR. 

 

Runs beautifully on Steamdeck. Busy online too. I've had players join almost every hunt.

I picked up Rise on PS5 when it was half price in anticipation of Sunbreak end of April. At some point I'll need to play through the base game as I originally played through on switch.

Should I wait til the dlc is actually out?

There's usually OP gear to get you through LR/HR quicker right? And QOL changes?

The OP gear is in the game from the beginning on Xbox and PlayStation. You get it from the cat with the messages.
