I am tired of replacing AA batteries all the time, can anyone recommend a decent rechargeable battery option for the Xbox Series X wireless controller?

A charging cradle sounds elegant, but happy to go with whatever if it is decent.

Eneloops and a cheap battery charger.

Best option for any console. I get over 40 hours on one charge. Been using a set of 4 for years.

Thanks, I am just going to order the Panasonic Eneloop Pro off Amazon.

Looks pretty massive to me! Where'd you get the giant Game Boy?

:D Quite amazing how much power that little S has in it Vs the GameBoy for their comparative sizes... however that GameBoy plays the best version of Tetris *ever*. :) Like the purity of it.. Tetris effect is just too faffy.. :D

Thanks guys.   Whilst I am at it, is there any way I can use my Bluetooth TW earphones with the Xbox Series X, presume I need a Bluetooth dongle - any recommendations for this?

Bluetooth isn't recommended really due to latency.

I don't suppose it's possible to use the PC version of games to complete gamepass quests?

Should be. There is no difference. PC games on the XBox store are just "Xbox" games in terms of achievements, quests, etc.

I bought a set of Xbox Wireless headphones recently and its been great. Not had any problems with latency and games sound great, much better than the crap speakers on the TV.

Are they the official MS Xbox ones? Heard they are pretty good!

Like the intuitave way of changing the volume etc..Shame I bought a Logitech (Pro-X) headset a couple of years ago..great  headset but wired.

Exactly. those aren't Bluetooth when connected to an Xbox.

 Very good headphones

Shame they don't do them in white to match the S

Well if its the same design the battery unit itself fits inside the compartment and then you clip the cover back over.... Nice design also means they only have to manufacture one colour!

Ah. I assumed it replaced the battery cover as well. I have it in my head that's the way the 360 ones were.

Some of the cheaper third party ones do that. I've had third party ones in the past (on the 360) and they were never as good as the official ones from my experience. Reason why I bought one when I first got a XBO years ago.. just been using the same battery pack ever since. They are a touch expensive compared to third party ones but from my experience worth it.

As that says, it uses the Xbox's proprietory wireless system to connect to the Xbox, or Bluetooth to connect to anything else. That's how it doesn't suffer from the usual lag that Bluetooth devices get when you're trying to play games with them.

Yup. I get the daily "play a game pass game" quest done by firing up Microsoft Solitaire on my phone. Got a few elusive achievements left on that, taken me literally years.

Nice bonus at work means I’m now a proud owner of both a series S and X. First game I tried was Cyberpunk which I only played a few hours of on my base PS4 on release. It’s an amazing game that shows off the new console brilliantly. Next up was Assassins Creed Odyssey which looks like it was released yesterday. Finally I’ve been playing Immortals which looks absolutely fantastic on both.

Seriously impressed with both, particularly the S which is blowing my mind with its awesome dinkiness.

So glad I took the plunge but don’t want to sell off my One X yet. Still my favourite console of all time.
