marcus
Thanks guys. Whilst I am at it, is there any way I can use my Bluetooth TW earphones with the Xbox Series X, presume I need a Bluetooth dongle - any recommendations for this?

A charging cradle sounds elegant, but happy to go with whatever if it is decent. Eneloops and a cheap battery charger. Best option for any console. I get over 40 hours on one charge. Been using a set of 4 for years.

Quite amazing how much power that little S has in it Vs the GameBoy for their comparative sizes... however that GameBoy plays the best version of Tetris *ever*. Like the purity of it.. Tetris effect is just too faffy..

Bluetooth isn't recommended really due to latency.

There is no difference. PC games on the XBox store are just "Xbox" games in terms of achievements, quests, etc.

Nice design also means they only have to manufacture one colour!

They use Bluetooth to connect to the system. The Xbox Wireless Headset connects wirelessly to your Xbox Series X|S or Xbox One console, or to your Windows, Android, or iOS device via Bluetooth. I've had third party ones in the past (on the 360) and they were never as good as the official ones from my experience. Reason why I bought one when I first got a XBO years ago.. just been using the same battery pack ever since. They are a touch expensive compared to third party ones but from my experience worth it. As that says, it uses the Xbox's proprietory wireless system to connect to the Xbox, or Bluetooth to connect to anything else. That's how it doesn't suffer from the usual lag that Bluetooth devices get when you're trying to play games with them.
ilpostino
Yeah it's some wireless communication protocol like Wi-Fi Direct. It connects like a controller to the Xbox, which is why when you turn the headset on it turns the Xbox on.

I get the daily "play a game pass game" quest done by firing up Microsoft Solitaire on my phone. Mallet
Thanks, I keep hearing great things about Dishonoured and I think now would be a great time to try it out. It's a first-person game though so I would much prefer to play it on my PC with keyboard and mouse controls.
Sane
Dishonored is amazing. It runs like a dream on series x, very smooth and it controls very well with a pad.
Masterbeef
Nice bonus at work means I’m now a proud owner of both a series S and X. First game I tried was Cyberpunk which I only played a few hours of on my base PS4 on release. It’s an amazing game that shows off the new console brilliantly. Next up was Assassins Creed Odyssey which looks like it was released yesterday. Finally I’ve been playing Immortals which looks absolutely fantastic on both. Seriously impressed with both, particularly the S which is blowing my mind with its awesome dinkiness. So glad I took the plunge but don’t want to sell off my One X yet. Still my favourite console of all time.
