Leakers say (e3 spoilers):

Spoiler

there will be 5 new games never seen before at the Xbox conference, Forza Horizon 5, Wolfenstein 3, IO Interactive making a fantasy RPG (because Xbox is short on those), Project Omen (vampire game from the Dishonored team) and apparently an Xbox exclusive game made by Kojima.

Any of the rumour mongering I've seen around Kojima and Microsoft was that they're in talks but E3 will be too soon to unveil anything. Maybe an announcement at the game awards.

It sounds too early to announce the IO game as well. That being said, I'd have thought the same thing about Perfect Dark and they went and announced that last year.

If the Kojima game is the cancelled Stadia episodic horror game, I don't think E3 will be too early at all. It will have been in development for a while and will probably have a shorter dev cycle by being episodic. Would work very well with the Gamepass model as well.

Maybe. The rumour I've seen is that any deal between MS and Kojima was "with the lawyers" (whatever that might entail) in late April so there wasn't going to be enough time between then and E3 for a meaningful E3 announcement to be a realistic expectation. I'd like to be wrong and see something cool at E3 but I also think all these big companies are going to hold back some stuff for Gamescom/TGS/Game Awards etc.

Yeah that’s a great deal. I wonder what the benefit is for GAME? Especially as it’s a digital console.

Maybe MS gave them a bunch of money?

Given how long they spent playing with my trade in, they might have agreed a download profit split with MS.  GameStop do in the states.

They could do that potentially on the trade in and on the new console.

Haven't heard that Game have actually done that sort of deal though.

I've almost read @Broker's post but realised quickly enough that it was probably E3 spoilers. Can we contain spoilers for E3 in an E3 spoilers topic (preferred, by me) and or spoiler tags if for some reason it's very important that they're posted here.

I realise that some people absolutely do not think knowing everything that's going to happen in advance spoils things, but it totally will spoil it for some people.

Sorry if that seems like an unreasonable request.

Edited to add tags, can't alter the quote though.

Hi guys. My son saved his money to get Avengers on Xbox. The only digital version i could find was a USA region on on CD Keys.

It was my understanding that you could change your Microsoft/Xbox account region and redeem the code.  Ive done both those things and the code wont work. It says the account is from a different region even though everything is set to USA.

Am i doing something wrong or have I just wasted £30 on a code I cant use.

I'm having an annoying problem with my XSX where achievements aren't popping on the console, only on my phone. I've fiddled with all the relevant settings and have turned off notifications on my phone, but now I'm just not getting notifications at all. Anyone else experienced this?

Changing your account region won't make a difference; you need to use a VPN to make Microsoft think you're in the US when you go to redeem the points.

You can redeem via the web, so you don't need to worry about getting your Xbox onto a VPN; your PC or phone should do the trick. And you only need to be connected to the VPN at the point of redemption, no other time, so a slow, free VPN should work as long as it allows you to specify a US location. Failing that, most VPN services offer free trials.

If I buy an external 5 tb hd will that run any none series X game from it directly? Is it slowed than playing it off of the Xbox storage?

If it's an X or S game it HAS to run from the internal, unless you have the official Seagate memory expansion. It won't run off an external, even an SSD.

Also yeah, non X|S games get a bit of a free speed boost being on the new internal drive, will definitely be slower external (guessing a fair bit if that's a usb3 mechanical hdd you're buying). Probably going to feel a bit quicker than it used to on the XB1, mind.

I think he means to play non-Series X games. If it's an SSD drive then it will likely be comparable to running the game internally, if it's an HDD then it will almost certainly be significantly slower.

Oh right, I misread that sorry. Yeah I put Rock Band on the internal because populating 500+ tracks was taking forever and it HUGELY quicker now.

Yeah that's what I meant. I guess I could put loads on the external and just love them across when I plan on playing them. 5tb for 90 pounds at the moment

This is just what I do with my S. Big slow external HD for storage, transfer to the internal for playing. Games that take hours to download move over in minutes.

You will notice the slower loading from the hdd, I ended up buying a cheap ssd to be my external as well as I'd got used to the speed of the internal for non-s/x games. I might still use the big slow hdd as cold storage when the two ssds fill up.

It's like how banks (used to?) still use tape backups.
