Hey now, it's got Quest Arrest.

Genuinely looking forward to its exclusive version of that actually. Stopped playing the original GB version to wait for it.

That looks great but I was really excited because I thought it would have some GTA driving mixed in as well as the top down RPG stuff.

I bought Rust for a tenner (using VPN and eneba) and even though I have no clue what I'm doing I can see me sinking a load of time into it. Runs at 60fps on series too. It's not a looker but can see why it's been so popular for years.

It’s gonna be a good one this, wall to wall games, loads of exclusives.

I feel like this has been the hope every E3 since Uncle Phil took over. Hopefully they will really nail this one though, no bold claims from them of “OUR BIGGEST E3 YET” which is a good start!

90 minutes doesn’t seem very long.

Unless they haven’t got much to show again. 😩

I like to call the Xbox Series S/X "2023's best console" (I'm hilarious, you see). It's future-loaded with titles that are announced and far off, or unannounced but in early stages and presumed to be coming eventually.

I hope that they have more to show for the imminent future - for the year ahead rather than just teaser trailers and the like. I'm fortunate in that I skipped the Xbox One so have past titles to catch up on. The console is also fortunately that Gamepass is amazing and the FPS boost/SSD makes old games way much better. I'm definitely happy with my purchase.

But would be nice if we got some immediate stuff that we know we'll be playing in six months or so, rather than just "here's the heavily-rumoured Fable game (but it's out in two years)" or "TES 6 is Microsoft exclusive (enjoy it when you're 65!)".

These would be exciting, but they'd still be a case of postponing gratification which is a lot of what next-gen has been about so far, especially with Microsoft. We know they have put the groundwork in and have buns in the oven, so we don't need another E3 of them telling us they are busy baking. We want those buns!

The only thing certain is disappointment. Not because it'll be shit but it just won't live up to whatever people are hoping for. They never do.

Personally I don't care what they show. It'll be entertaining none the less and who doesn't like an E3 watch party?

They need to have a steady stream of games in their release schedule now, starting at E3. If they come out with nothing but trailers and future dates I’ll be really disappointed.

I think we just need to keep expectations in check.

I don't expect a huge amount of exclusives to be announced for release this year - new Forza, Halo, Psychonauts 2 etc. Any output from the studio acquisitions will be a fair ways in the distance TBH expect they'll drop mostly back end of next year or early '23.

Not overly fussed to much TBH. Happy just progressing through GamePass content - maybe older games but they are all new to me and run really well.

Well it does clearly say 'New Gamepass titles' - so they'll be something immediate. And we know Halo is coming this year. Folks just need to be realistic - we're in the middle of a global pandemic which has clearly hit game development schedules - so anyone expecting them to have a game every month or something is going to be disappointed. 2-3 big titles between now and the end of the year would be realistic I think.

I don't get the negativity - 90 mins is more than enough to show off a lot of stuff (if anything I worry we'll get a vapid host and forced banter somewhere in there to reach the 90) - and the Bethesda tweet that followed it up also teases they will have "a few surprises"...

A lot of the recent stuff like the Fable RPG, Rare thingy and Perfect Dark got - what looked like - project announcement pre-renders. They're going to be 2023 for sure.

I think that Bethedsa Starfield game is likely for a showing!

They'll probably announce they've acquired Sega, just after Sega release a PlayStation exclusive game (VF5 remaster).

I think both Fable and Everwild are miles off - for sure. I'm not even certain they know what Everwild really is internally yet.

I have a funny feeling on Perfect Dark though - I reckon it could be further along than we all think.....

And Bethesda will have had some stuff that was coming before the buy-out, it's not like they were not already developing - just now they'll most likely have dropped other formats to concentrate on PC/XB only - which might actually speed some stuff up even.....

Starfield is nailed on - the planet bottom-left of that MS tweet image is ripped directly from the starfield teaser....

Keep in mind that ever since Phil started presenting the Xbox E3 pressers, they've focused on showing game after game with minimal blah blah in-between. If that's again the case here, then 90 minutes is *a lot* of games.

Having said that, could as well be that Infinite alone takes up 45 minutes... Profound sadness ensues

100% this.

They'll try and tick loads of boxes and unless you love all kinds of games equally there'll be bits you don't find compelling.

Every single title that's shown will be a miss in some way for part of the audience.

There'll be CGI.

There'll be games with 2022 release dates that everyone knows have already slipped into 2023.

There'll be the same franchises that people always say they're sick of.

There'll be not enough games shown from the Zenimax acquisition for people to not say "lol, 7.5bn for that"

I'll be tuning in for sure. I'll be looking at my phone for half of it.

I get what you're saying (and I've said this before), but Sony don't seem to be struggling with games for the PS5. They've had a nice steady stream of AAA games since launch, which looks like continuing. I just want MS to do the same and now is the perfect time to kick that off.

Halo is the big one for me though. They better have an amazing showing of that and a nailed on release date very soon, or people will be rightly giving them a lot of shit.
