I'm half expecting Psychonauts 2 to drop during the show, or at least E3 week:

- They've been polishing for a year now.

- If it doesn't perform amazingly at retail on PS4 who cares?

That's a good point actually. An "it's available NOW ON GAME PASS (and 70 quid on PS4)" announcement is excellent pr for game pass which is probably way more important to them than how it performs on PS4. If there's a Psychonauts 3 it won't be coming to PlayStation anyway, even if part 2 somehow becomes the best selling game on PS4/5 this year.

It’s interesting as I’m immediately put off buying anything (until cheap) that is known to be coming to GamePass and will instead spend money on Sony exclusives etc. Deathloop is maybe the first one, although if it’s a 10/10 my principles will probably go out the window.

I hope whatever gets shown of Halo Infinite blows our socks off after the last showing, I also hope they kind of own the last showing by getting Craig the Brute to introduce then reel that will blow our socks off.

That doesn't tie in that well with Schafer saying they have added stuff back into the game thanks to Mircosofts funding. On the surface at least it looks like their goal is to make the game as good as possible so that people will want to play what Double Fine do next. How many PS4 owners would want Psychonauts 3 if their last experience of the franchise was a PS4 game that ran like shit?

Forza Horizon 5 latest rumours are that it is scheduled for 2021 and is set in Mexico.

 

So Forza Horizon 5, Halo and Flight Sim for this autumn/winter? I'm like 90% certain they are going to show Starfield at E3 and I was still reasonably confident it was coming out this year but I'm not sure they need it in 2021 if those other three hit.

That's not what I said at all, you completely misunderstood. Of course they want to make the best game possible and subsequently tempt fans of 2 on Playstation over to GP when 3 hits. What we were discussing was "what if Microsoft shadow dropped Psychonauts 2 during their big presentation?" - shadow dropping a game like that could have an adverse effect on sales is the theory. Especially in this case where it releases immediately on GP - at no additional cost for existing subs. That might have a negative effect on the PS4 version of the game, buuuut Microsoft might not be that bothered about that. Just fun speculation.

What Schafer said about getting additional funds and freedom to make the game they wanted to make, is partly why I have a good feeling about studios like that being part of current Xbox. If the same goes for Obsidian for example, them having the necessary funds for the first time in company history to finally make the RPG they set out to make with Avowed and other future RPGs, that makes me extremely excited!

 

Same goes for Arkane. Instead of them eventually being demoted to aln Elder Scrolls assistance/DLC studio or something, they now have the freedom and means to keep making their critically acclaimed games.

Even putting that stuff aside, I just don’t believe that Kojima would want to go back to MGS1 unless he was reworking it into basically a new game.

Nope. I ordered it a week ago, got a confirmation email and it said estimated delivery was the 26th. The order page just says pending with that estimated date on it. I guess I’ll have to call them, which is always such a pleasant experience.

I ordered the new headset from them at the start of the month. After a few days I spoke to someone via the online chat function who told me that I'd been allocated a headset from the next batch which would be a further week. At no point did it say this when I ordered it. I saw the same "1-2 days delivery" as you. The money was allocated from my account immediately, but was pulled back by the bank after a week, so I had to authorise the payment again.

 

A bit of a shit show, but I got the headset eventually.

Yes. Just swap your reward points for credit. But be aware that the credit expires after 90 days.
