I might go for the Hot Pursuit remake at some stage too!   probably around 24 quid?

Really enjoying this... best £21 (PC version) I spent on a game recently. Proper old school racer. I'm rubbish at it but having a ball...

Like I said earlier, no-one knows when tomorrows stock will be available so it could be midnight tonight, it could be tomorrow morning. If anyone really wants any of the stock tomorrow they're gonna have to be vigilant.

Will it not all be at 8am then, or is that misleading?

According to MS there will be stock available on release day at 8am....

Yep, and based on the previous pre-orders, I'm assuming that's when they'll actually go live.  So get those browser windows open and start hammering F5 at 7.59am.

So the SSD is just a big standard M.2 NVME. Hopefully someone will just take that out, whack a bigger one in and see if it’s easy to get it to work.

Highly unlikely as Microsoft will have it's serial number locked to the system in the same way as previous consoles' HDD's.

It's interesting this! with both consoles they've really thought about the engineering of getting as much power in a small space as possible. At the same time it's really simple to open up and by the look of it, repair if needed.

And my god it's small, I'm pretty sure I have seen hard drives bigger than that, haha. Seems like more than half the size of it is heatsink and fan.

Wonder if you can clone it though and then extend it to a new disk... Someone will figure it out... Unless there is a special security chip on that unit..... Who knows. I expect we'll see official 1TB and 2TB Series S machines at some point though....

Really like the size of the series S. Not too fussed about the drive in the Series X. Shame they didn't release an all digital Series X and make it smaller. Would have loved a Series X in a Series S form factor.... Expect we'll see a Series X Mk2 at some point...

I'm in the same boat.

After this anticipation to be part of the next gen, full fat gaming experience...I expect I'll just be playing Slay the spire.

Accumulate 150+ hours on a different platform. But oh those cards will POP with auto HDR.

I strongly suspect that while my brand new Xbox is downloading OS patches and games, I'll spend most of my afternoon off playing Hades and BOTW on the Switch...

All's I'm saying is that Microsoft don't control people's EPOS systems. Just paranoia/Doom mongering/worst case scenario.

I've got proper FOMO - if anyone ends up with a spare Series X tomorrow, tap me up! PLEASE.

You'll be on the browser tabs at 7.59 too then... :D

Although actually swinging towards a Series S at the moment as I like the form factor... although some games I'd like to play aren't available digitally anymore (Forza Horizon 2). So undecided. Like the idea of having a small sleek unit that is quit to boot up and play very appealing...

I think I'm just trying to convince myself it'll all go to plan, so I'm not awake at 3am checking Stock Informer every couple of minutes.

(I have an S on the way, but have a nagging feeling that I should have gone fo the X.  I got burned years ago when I went for the 'Core' 360 and ended up buying an HDD, wireless controller, headset - meaning I spent loads more than if I'd gone for the Arcade in the first place.)

I'm currently fine with cancelling my Series S order, but as always there's that little magpie itch at the back off my head. And that'll probably get worse when my OHs Series X turns up :seanr:

Surely you own FH2 digitally!? It was 50p or something silly for yonks years back!!!

I think the Series X as a way to access all the Forza, Halo and Gears games is a good enough reason to own one - I wanted the Xbone to be my Halo archive machine but the original one and S were crap enough for me to not stick with them (didn’t ever get an X)

Oh yes the Core and the Premium... :D There wasn't that much difference in price either.

Depends on what you want really... S will be great on a 1080p screen. It's the storage that looks a bit low. But then if you only play a couple of games at a time it'll be fine!

Why I'm potentially looking at the S myself - play my backcatalogue of Xbox content as well as some new stuff (that doesn't come to PC) in one small compact box. Also just tempted to pick another One X up for this purpose as it's equally as small. Although like the idea of instant resume and loading speeds of the SSD. Also no moving hard drive inside.

No I had it on disk only... although I need to check my account as they released on Gold I think - although that might have been the first one....

EDIT: It was indeed on Games with Gold a while back but for some reason don't think I grabbed it. Damn. Just been looking down the list of digital content I have bought on the Xbox that doesn't work on the PC. Want to play some of that again so might end up picking an S or X up if I can get one.
