Yeah, it's difficult to get perspective without other objects around them. They ought to render them alongside a can of coke or some things people are very familiar with.

It's not like it's massive (bit smaller than a the 1X) but I think they way people were describing it put a different scale in my head for both X and S. The PS5 is taking the piss, mind.

Being able to replace an ageing cell is definitely beneficial, but in this day and age Microsoft should really just be putting one of the charge kits in the box instead of penny pinching it as an extra purchase.

Absolutely. It's $24 of effective base cost.

Complete aside, but the play and charge battery in my 2015 forza controller has never lost any obvious charge capacity, whereas the ones in my 360 pads barely work now.

I know the PS5 is meant to be big but those pics have made me think the Series S is a lot bigger than I thought it was.

Going by the papercraft versions MS posted a little while ago the Series S is about at tall/long as a piece of A4 paper.

Do we know yet whether you'll be able to cloudstream games on the series x or s themselves?  Like on PS4 I can choose to either download or stream a PS4 game on PSnow - would be good if that option is there for gamepass games on the x and particularly the s with its smaller storage...

I like how small the storage is. It's tiny hiding away in the back there.

One of the problems with a ugly, bulky external hard drive dangling out of the last one was that you get annoying questions like "What's that?", "How much did that cost?" and "HOW FUCKING MUCH?"

It does suck. I'm presuming the share button is basically a capture button a la switch and PS4. Has there been any info if the share function is Switch-like (lightning fast) or PS4-like (absolute fucking garbage)?

I'm hoping it's exactly like the PS4, so easy to use. What is it you don't like about it?

They made a brief overview video on it which makes it look like it works exactly like the PS4...

It takes forever to capture something. The PS4 OS is such a clunky sack of shit if you're trying to get a screenshot in the middle of something frantic you've had it.

However it should be pointed out I had completely forgotten about holding the button down to take a screenshot until this week, but even then it's not as quick as the Switch.

I've experienced some lag with it before but nothing crazy. SSD's should help in this regard too i'd assume. Unless you can ask it to save to a USB HDD

Also the options for capturing (720p, 1080p and different capture lengths 15mins, 30mins etc) and the editing software on the PS4 always stood out to me as the way it should be done on consoles.

Is that different to holding it for a few seconds? If so I'm going to have to go looking for that.

Yeah, it’s somewhere in the settings menu. There’s an option for single press, double press and long hold I think.

I too found it a bit clunky before but once you’ve set it up properly it does what it needs to pretty well. Glad they’ve copied the idea for the new Xboxes.
