I have a question I just thought of. No doubt it’s got an easy answer but I’ve not been paying enough attention to know what it is if anybody could help me out...

 

Why have MS not got a Windows 10 client/App for Xcloud on day 1? Surely giving the ability to play xcloud on every W10 machine would be a very obvious thing to do?

The question might be, can win10 players play gamepass games? Can Android* players play gamepass games? They're enabling more hardware if they get an Android* app out.  

 

Presumably they expect more people to use xcloud on android* than Windows too. 

 

 

*presumably iOS also.

Sorry man, things on here feel so confrontational at times, your post seemed like you were saying "why did you expect a date when there's been no date announced, idiot" Tbh, I still can't work out what answer I could give to that question that would genuinely be of interest to you, so I honestly don't know why you asked. I'm not attacking you, I just don't get it. What possible answers are there?

I have wondered same, laptop be handy in bed or when travelling etc.  I dont understand why, but i think there is an updated xbox app out i must fire it up?

maybe 720p with compression is fine on phones with their small screens but will look rubbish blown up to a monitor, or it’ll be compared badly to native, or managing load on their servers while it scales up?

Now we sadly will not be meeting Craig this November, Microsoft really should do what ever it takes to get Flight Simulator out on the SX for launch day. It may not be everybodies cup of tea, but holy fuck is it a looker and prime TV advertising eye candy. "The worlds most powerful games console"... watches Flight Sim advert.. yea OK we'll give you that one Microsoft.

I really appreciate when these corporate faces show that they are human and when they actually acknowledge their competitors existence. Talking about Nintendo's first party quality or the differences in how Sony have spent their budget etc.

It’s the reason I’m buying one, I thought it was out next month, September?

This launch has gone from uber excited to a bit meh. I see no reason at all to pay to go from one x to series x, I really thought Ms would have some awesome launch games but clearly they dont. Gamepass is great but iv seen no reason to upgrade yet.

 

The launch price is going to make or break this thing. If I were ms I'd pay cyberpunk a lot of money to buy an exclusivity window and get upgrading all the one x's best games. 

 

My prediction is Round one to the ps5.

I think a noirish detective game featuring Ray Tracin would be pretty cool, with the best shadows you’ve ever seen.
