Hey remember when people used to be excited for the potential of new technology, rather than wanting a new console generation purely for creatively hidebound recreations of {game I played in 2001}, Metacritic 68?

You weren't a fan then RJ?

You're right of course, we should be more excited for what advances in gaming these new boxes deliver, rather than pining for shinier versions of games long past. Onward and upward. On that note, I hope this gen builds on the sort of traversal mechanics we've seen in Titanfall 2 and we get something which really marries fluid motion with shooting. Titanfall 2 is the pinnacle so far, I'd love to see how Respawn build on that and with the fast streaming of assets afforded by the SSD's, I imagine they could really up the intensity and scope of FPS traversal.

I guess they wouldn't be if they were all in the same studio.

It's  a fair point, perhaps they should arrange them on a virtual stage so it looks like they're talking to each other rather than split screen boxes.

Sorry for complaining, I clearly had unrealistic expectations!
