Went back up against (what i understand to be the main boss) again last night. I did find a nice little exploit

on phase 1, if you get her to the outside of the "ring" you can get lucky and just continuously swipe her with a sword, without her really trying to attack anymore.

 

After deciding to take a break, i've done a fair bit of treasure hunting instead and think i know how to get to the main secret area now.

Okay, so i got the bad ending. Annoyingly i spent a lot of time figuring out the golden path puzzle, only to find i still needed one more page which is done from collecting a bunch of fairies that I haven't even found one yet.

 

I think i found perhaps 5 of the main treasures out of 12.

 

I may just youtube the proper ending though, unless i do feel like jumping back in for the extra bits.

 

I didn't use the no fail modes or anything like that, it is a tough game but got there eventually!

I'd highly recommend following the path yourself. It's the most rewarding part of the game in my opinion.

To get into the door in the snow area? I already did that. It took a while

and picked up page one but apparently the last page is unlocked by finding 10 fairies or something like that
