Rllmuk Fantasy Premier League 2020/21

I have never spent so long dithering over my captain pick - at the moment got Fernandes with the triple badge played but also considered Son (he has to come good again soon) Richarlison (never trust everton), Sterling (Pep rotation possible), Vardy (always scores against Arsenal but Leicester always let you down) & Barnes (hot streak must end).

Also considered Ederson (will pay but don't like cpt a goalie) and Cancelo (Pep rotation possible and don't like cpt a defender)

I've pretty much guaranteed whichever way I go it will be wrong now.

My caution here comes from the fact my son who has beaten me at this for several seasons now raced away early this year but has surrendered a 150 pt lead to single digits now.

I went Bruno TC, and he let me down :(  Hoping he redeems himself against Crystal Palace.  Pleased I kept Son instead of transferring him out for Barnes as a couple of people in my other MLs did.  Also relieved that Kane didn't go wild as I resisted bringing him in, gambling on DCL instead.

Just noticed that I'm up to 3rd in the rllmuk league - that's unexpected!  You have a big lead though @skittles.... not over yet though!

I TCed DCL this week, fully aware that it might all go wrong. It seems to have been a hilariously rubbish week for all the TC candidates except for Kane, and he hasn't exactly set the place on fire either.

Most annoying is that I played Pope (3pts all out) ahead of Johnstone (10pts and Everton to play). Currently on 65(-4) with DCL and Salah to play.

I know, two players out again (assuming they don't get on the field to gain 1 pointless point). I have two subs with decent amount of points that will be used if Pep doesn't do what he usually does which is to bring the missing 1st team players on for a few minutes.

I think Pep knows this and does it deliberately.

I benched a mighty 36 points this week (including Dallas), but fortunately Johnstone came in for the absent Nick Pope, reclaiming 15 of them. 57 points all out - not great, but I'll never grumble if I get 50+, and I'm soundly winning my family and work leagues.

I was bricking it going into yesterday’s games as I don’t have any Spurs players and it looked like everyone had captained Kane. Massive relief this morning when I saw the score (I’m in Singapore so don’t get to see the games live). Saw it was 4-0 and feared the worst. Can’t believe Kane didn’t get a single return from that match.

The postponement of the Man U match might help too as I’ve got a full bench that is likely to play.

Overall, massively lucky in this weird game week, and reckon I’ve got a decent chance of moving up to second in our league.

First place looks a looooong way off though!

That’s me at the moment. Just looked at your bench though and you could close the gap massively after today!

I hope so!!

You’re having a great season though - must be comfortably inside the top 10k with that score, right?

I lost three Liverpool players this week, but fortunately all was not lost.

After being second the ENTIRE season in my work league I’m up to first spot, still with two players who each scored 8 who will come off my bench.  YESS.

Cheers mate. Yeah, around 5k at the moment. Really pleased with that. Made it inside the top 10k before but seems so much more competitive these days.
