I was always going to watch this intrigued at how the first season ended, oddly no giant flying snake in the trailer, it's almost like they trying to distance it from that weirdness to draw people back with spaceships, androids, guns and the usual sci-fi fluff.

Why would they need to? No-one who liked the first season was disappointed by the end.

Disappointed, no, weirded out and pulling the famous Krusty face while watching Worker & Parasite, yes.

You'd think it would merit a mention in a trailer at least.

It lacks some of the comedy of the first series, there were some disastrous attempts at anthropology by the robots last time which have been wiped out in this one. The weapon carried by mother in episode 3 was ridiculous. Needstodobetterandmaydo/10

I don't know. I'm still enjoying it but I'm not getting the existential horror and schlock of series one anymore.

This is weird but between the costumes, camp and quarry sets it's starting to remind me of the 80's Buck Rogers. Just to confirm, I don't have any problem with that at all but I do feel like it's a changed show from the first series.

I just polished off episode 3 of series 2, I am loving it. Just so cool, weird and silly, it’s pure catnip for me!

As for Buck Rogers, I’m not getting that at all but the hammerite hover tanks, androids and the ‘tropical zone’ of this series all put me in mind of the old Logan’s Run tv series:

I kinda missed the start of this season, but got all caught up over this last week. Still absolutely loving it. It’s bonkers and I have no idea what’s going on!

episode 6

Spoiler

A fish stole a baby.... that woman turned into a tree... there’s a new scary robot!

:omg:

I was really confused, maybe I missed something, but why did that lady just run off to the beach alone in the first place?

Spoiler

I thought she wanted to heave her unwanted newborn into the boiling sea.. seemed a bit rough really

Flipping heck, I absolutely love this but you have to forgive so much silliness to grease the plot wheels. I just watched episode 5, and why didn’t the Mithraic ‘mother’ not just

Spoiler

give her android ‘daughter’ a direct order to shut down?

Obviously that isn’t at all interesting, and what did happen instead was brilliant, but you know! :sherlock:

How come none of season 2 is on NowTV? Are they waiting for it to finish first?

That's what I'm assuming, they've listed season 1 as a boxset. So expect season 2 will be dropped in complete.

I just polished off episodes 6 & 7, this is great stuff, properly gutting when Hunter

Spoiler

shot the nursing sea monster.

Regarding Tempest’s baby, and this:

Don’t forget the baby is the product of

Spoiler

Tempest being raped on the Mithraic Ark by the Priest during the journey to Kepler-22b so she didn’t want it being brought up in the camp where it would be a continual reminder.

I’m tempted to say I’m enjoying S2 even more than S1!
