Man Utd have had a net spend of nearly a billion pounds since Fergie left. Finances have never been the problem there, there's just no plan.

Not really. Ignorant people were saying United spent hundreds of millions in 18-19 yet they are too dumb to see the difference between net and gross. With the sale of Lukaku (etc) United sold more than they bought. It doesn't matter how much you spend either if you dont spend it right.

The finances are the problem... it's been spent badly!

About 700 million net spend since 2013.

About twice that gone down the plughole since 2005 under the Glazer occupation.

Brilliant match that. Easy to say Bayern missed Lewandowski over the two legs, but Christ they missed Goretzka even more tonight. Having to shift Alaba really left them that bit more brittle on the break.

Considering their defensive record this season, along with Goretzka and Sule being out, that really was an extremely unlikely clean sheet they pulled off there. Think they deserved to go through but it's good to see PSG go a bit further, if only to see them cock it up slightly closer to the prize than usual.

The first time I saw it I thought the Ukrainian player was through on goal and the Northern Irish girl was chasing her.  Even in that scenario the foul is only slightly more mental than the actual circumstances in which it occurred.

Following on from the mental Ole speech the other day about not feeding his Son, he's had this to say about too much red around Old Trafford:-

Ole Gunnar Solskjær has stated Manchester United’s red shirts had merged with Old Trafford’s red surrounds and prevented players from seeing a teammate in the “split second” required during games, leading the club to introduce black banners in the stands.

“You’ll see a change now – see the banners around the club [stadium] are not red any more,” the manager said. “We’ve looked into this. There shouldn’t be a reason, really [for inferior home form] but some of the players mentioned that in the split-second decision you have to look over your shoulder to see if your teammate is there or not then the red shirt is on a red background with red seats [and this was a problem].

Remind me of Fergie moaning about the grey kit they once had and why they'd lost against Southampton (?)

It’s not that crazy really is it? Some of the players have mentioned it so they’ve done something about it. At least he’s not blaming the wind, how short the grass is or that the other team has several injuries in the first half which disrupted our flow like Klopp has done.

As Stigweard likes to say to any one who dares to disagrees with him, fuck off you tedious troll. (Hopefully non Liverpool fans can say that too!)

Last season, Arteta complained about the grass being deliberately left too long at Turf Moor to disrupt the Arsenal passing game.  This season, he complained that it was too short...

Gerrard to come streaking onto the field in the 90th minute and volley home a second goal which VAR decides counts as an incidental deflection like the old beach ball.

Fuck me, I forgot this was the MAIN Man U thread:rolleyes:

It's clutching at straws as to why your home form isn't the best.  Stop being so tribal and get a grip.

Bunch of mutants. Need kicking out of the tourney for that coach smashing and banning for a bit.

No need to kick them out, they'll do that to themselves in less than 90 mins ;)

I’m not claiming to be above the hating on teams you don’t like, I just don’t really feel the need to rabidly post my hate filled fantasies. I am however enjoying the idea of Dortmund knocking them out. I don’t really hate City, but they are a bit smug. They’re like the posh boy at school whose sandwiches were always perfectly made and had a real KitKat rather than a Take a Break or something.

What are you going on about? Other than going on and on about Man Utd at any opportunity of course. I don’t think anyone is saying the reason we only have the third best home record in the league this season is because of what Ole said, just that it’s a slight distraction highlighted by some players, so why not change it? Should United fans go smashing coach windows instead? Blame the wind?

I appreciate you’re not exactly the brightest so I won’t tell you to fuck off again like Stigweard would, but you really are a tedious any one but United kind of troll!
