Oh Vemsie please, don't debase yourself like this.

I don't think it's a better game, don't get me wrong. But it definitely runs better and I do love the machine combat to bits. In terms of exploration, level design, build variety etc. it's no contest.

Spoiler

Returnal still the GotG

It's part of the Arena Challenges. Set it on easiest difficulty and rinse through it, it's one of the very last Elite challenges.

Nope, done all of that as well.

Googled and it's a bug with the Sunwing.

Fair enough dude I get it and you're not wrong. I hope you didn't think I was being rude, reading back it sounds a bit rude, sorry about that, I love your posts and enthusiasm.

Just did the cauldron with the

Spoiler

robot giraffe! Cracking way to end that one too.

Game continues to be good.

I completely forget to use Valour tho every single time, despite having completely levelled up the Hunter skill tree. It just feels too much of a faff to activate it and unnatural after not having it in the previous game.

Been really enjoying this but had my first major glitch. Was fighting the main boss in a cauldron but I died, and when I respawned I was put outside of the cauldron area and I couldn't get back to the main fight. Had to load up an autosave to continue.

I had a weird one where I couldn't complete a quest because I couldn't activate my Focus near the Tenakht capital. I think it expected me to talk to a specific person for some other quest.

Also, Boomer and her sister are totally lovable. Gotta love a girl obsessed with high explosives.

Is there any way you shut Aloy up? The constant bloody wittering and restating the same sentence over and over is beyond grating.

Game looks amazing but I’m pretty disappointed with the enemy AI. It’s so basic and dumb it undermines the immersion.

I see it as her being a total loner, outcast, living on her own in the wilderness. Of course she's going to talk to herself.

More annoying are the vendors or people with quests to give/finish with a conversation. Constant 'Aloy! Over here!' while I'm trying to loot some nearby containers or machine carcasses.

I'm quite curious about this: I remember when the trailers for the original game were shown and people commented at the time that Aloy was very verbose with the seemingly endless handholdy dialogue - and though people enjoyed the trailers there were a lot of comments from people saying that may simply have been added for trailer purposes and would probably not be reflected in the actual game. Happily, that did turn out to be the case, and her dialogue was much more subtle in comparison in the actual game.

So it's baffling that after that widely reported criticism where people were like "thank god that didn't make it into the game" that it was then actually added in the sequel because they thought it would be a good idea

It's possibly the biggest annoyance in the game. You'd have hoped that when you're making a game ostensibly for an older age group devs might have come to the conclusion that we're not all dolts who need constant hand holding all the time.

I mean, have it as an option by all means, but please give us the choice to shut our hero up when we want.

It's beyond annoying at times.
