That Kena trailer is just

Yep. Looks like a Pixar movie. The reveal event really did a number on these trailers. The games looks so much better in 4k. Even the GT trailer, which is 'only' 1080p60 looks much better than the turd were served "live".

Watching these all back in 4k and Sony have ballsed up the reveal by locking it to 1080p.

So much detail missing that no wonder there's been some "is that it?!"

I kept trying to make the point in the thread when people weren't wowed and were going it looks like PS4 lol.

Even current gen games look next gen at higher resolutions and with image quality - when I play Modern Warfare on my PC at 1080p as opposed to native 4k or even 1440p - it is night and fucking day!

Yeah, all of this looks so much better in 4K. What a bizarre idea not to stream it that way.

Some really janky animation in the Returnal trailer. (Is that the actress out of Fringe?)

The facial capture when she gasps (both times) looks almost hand animated (and not in a good way) and then the section when she walking (with the camera behind her) looks like it has really cruddy walk cycle animation.

This breaks games for me these days after stuff like the last of us and days gone.

Really love the look of Kena However - which looks pure Pixar.

Getting some definite Bloodborne vibes from Resi 8. I was sort of disappointed when they cut from the 18/19th century Gothic stuff to the more modern guns and TVs and so on. I'd love a Gothic Resi game set in Transylvania or something.

I can't say watching any of those did anything for me, other than looking shiny and new. It doesn't help that most of those aren't genres I have any interest in, mind.

Showed my 5 year old the Kena and Ratchet trailers this morning.

He can't wait to watch those films!!

And then his little face when he saw Miles Morales in the Spider-Man trailer!

Ratchet trailer was the game that impressed me most. Definitely a step up from current gen. The way it streamed in entire new worlds effortlessly was one of the highlights of the show for me.

The disappointing thing with the Ratchet footage was that it hasn't been put up in 4k like the trailer.

I thought Little Devil Inside was the most interesting new game they showed. Loved the art style and some of the lighting looked really nice. Will be following that for sure.

The Xbox Series X had a good run.

This is an absolutely ludicrous statement. Fair play.
