I work for a DC Thomson company, which is interesting to no one, I appreciate.

I worked for a company that DC Thomson bought and was disappointed that Dennis the Menace wasn’t personally responsible for paying us.

(They later closed the company down.)

Mind me asking which one? We were bought by them in 2018, based in Colchester. We've been hit extremely hard by current times.

Hang on, Bash Street is an actual fucking Street?!!

It was renamed to Bash St. a few years back if memory serves.

More or less. They developed an area in town, built a new casino and luxury flats, which created a street between that and the neighbouring building which many years ago was probably a road behind a car park.  They have been a few nice touches like that in Dundee in recent times, bronze  Lemmings statute being another.

ShortList magazine. They had been an early investor so it wasn't weird when years later they bought out the majority owners. I left before they closed it down thankfully. Considering it had a circulation of about 550,000 copies a week it was a surprise.

Yeah we were surprised by that too, we inherited a load of your PC's and iMacs funnily enough. Small world.

That's so weird. Enjoy them! (And good luck – with the market not the owners.)

^ I used to live a block down from that.

I’m pretty sure we met a couple of times though you likely won’t remember me.
For some reason I always associate you with Wario Ware Paper Plane, though it could be my mind playing tricks.

I was at uni with Paddy who you may have shared a flat with?

Yes, that’s me! I’m sure I would remember you, I remember plenty of Paddy’s games tech classmates. You weren’t part of that rabble who took over our flat for an evening of LAN Halo, were you? If so you’re actually scarred into my brain ;)

As for Wario Ware, I’m genuinely delighted that for at least one person I’m most associated with that game :D I’m certain I once held the world record for Paper Plane. A quick look on YouTube shows that my high score has long since been obliterated by practically everyone, sadly.

Not guilty. I worked in the evening through uni, and am a Dundee local so didn’t really get to experience the whole student flat nights thing unfortunately

Hmm... I'm not sure I like this, to be honest. Despite the promise that "Lego Super Mario essentially brings Mario Maker to life," what I had in mind was that the Lego company would essentially just make Lego sets with custom Mario "furniture." Instead, this looks much more gimmicky and restrictive. Disappointing.

I agree. And I'm not sure of the value for kids either. Personally speaking, when I was a kid, I never used the electronic features of my toys. When you tried to, it just restricted the stories you could tell, because yuo ended up working it around the limited sounds/effects built in. This just looks like an on-rails experience that will get boring very after about five minutes. But maybe that's just me and they've tested it with kids?

has anyone started playing with these? Got teh starter pack for one of my boys and was hoping you could buy a luigi starter pack or standalone but nothing like that released? Even a standalone mario for the 2nd kid without having to buy 2 starter packs.
