Hmm... I'm not sure I like this, to be honest. Despite the promise that "Lego Super Mario essentially brings Mario Maker to life," what I had in mind was that the Lego company would essentially just make Lego sets with custom Mario "furniture." Instead, this looks much more gimmicky and restrictive. Disappointing.

What on earth are these toy companies thinking?

Should've made it into a Super Mario board game made of Lego.

The thing about Lego is you can make it into whatever you want. So it can be.

That said, Lego binned all their board games pretty quickly. I don't think they sold well.

Looks like a gateway drug to all things Nintendo.

Like when kids have parents who want to keep video games out of their children's life, but then get fooled by thinking it'd be alright to buy a box of Mario themed Lego, just to stop their kids from whining about not getting a Switch.

OMG I am a massive Levi’s fan, I need these things.

I used to run the advertising account across Europe. We tried get 501's into uncharted 4, but it all fell apart

They were the best client ever.

probably all the sliding down gravelly slopes Drake does took it's toll on the stitching ;)

anyhoo, imagine if they combine Mario Kart Tour's shitty gacha mechanic with Lego's Blind-baggery. They'll make BILLIONS

They seem like a great company, their made in Japan jeans are just the best, I have a pair of the 512s on now - sorry, going a bit off topic!

For balance, I’m not a massive fan of them, but then I have some bias as my mum lost her job when I was a kid as they decided to make jeans in countries where labour is cheaper. Didn’t make their jeans any cheaper mind.

As for the Lego.. not that interesting looking for me, my kid will love it though (since I’ll probably buy it anyway)

I suspect I’ll prefer China’s finest knockoff mini blocks though...

What’s odd is that it’s terrible Lego. Terrible Mario. And basically no game.

Im a massive Lego fan and this seems so far wide of the mark from their usual licence treatment (admittedly normally just amazing models of stuff).

It's an Oor Wullie figure painted like a Dennis the Menace.

It was part of the Oor Wullie's Bucket Trail - one of those events where statues are placed through out a city with different groups / artists designed the colour schemes for the same shaped statue.  Dundee, where I live is the home of DC Thompson, which published the Beano, and Oor Wullie.

Here is the full size one, where it was located on Bash Street in Dundee, and all of them grouped together at the end of the event.  Only a select few miniature ones were available unfortunately, and Dennis was the one we chose as despite looking a bit odd, it had the best local connections / memories etc for us.
